Viktor and a syndra melting an adc with two buttons without having get to sacrifice their life late game but the second zed does it it's considered broken and unhealthy .

Nothing says double standards than a Ryze Ahri who get to melt u and zoom away but the second a riven has to flash in and perfectly combo the adc to kill her while trying to survive the enemy peel and balanced exhaust it's considered braindead and unfun

Nothing says double standards than mages from the mid lane being so strong that they could be taken bot with one item and then go full sightstone support redemption bullshit and still do massive amounts of damage for months before getting nerfed but the second top lane has anything remotely useful to use to help their team it gets nerfed like nerfing teleport making it incredibly useless in ganking or pushing off ganks in the bot lane.

The mage update pretty much invalidated assassins and made mages 2x more safe stronger and had them do what assassins could do but better.

Double standards don't exist tho.

Ad champs like yasuo getting bitched about nonstop on the boards but the second someone says anything about mages it's a fucking catastrophe

Lethality update just came out and I can't wait to see how fast riot nerfs that shit when a syndra gets outplayed by a zed and reports them for hacking

I agree with you on some level, but Yasuo is just shit with the Phantom Mallet build. That's not outplaying, it's just shit.

But I agree with you mostly. If a Burst Mage killing a squishy is healthy, than an Assassin doing so is healthy.

Different champs within the same champ class are already balanced differently, let alone champs of different classes and roles.

I don't think you have the best idea about what balancing is.

You did nothing but just copy paste something of a different subject and then add a sly jab in thinking u made any sort of point .

Syndra has how many instant teleports/dashes? Zed has how many teleports/dashes? Exactly.

Now, Zed is manaless and has some of the highest base stats in his entire category and overall in the game. Syndra has to have some sort of edge otherwise there would be no point in ever playing her.

Because him being manaless should make him useless late game while syndra being the obvious best and most balanced and most innocent and HARDEST ROLE IN THE GAME should allow her to melt every single enemy champ late game with a click of a button

I think you're using the term double standards wrong, and you're not really understanding the things different roles are supposed to accomplish.

Spirit visage good for 1 month, nerfed.

Rylais broken making champs like viktor and cass over the top, 6+ months for a decent nerf

Assassins are meant to assasssinate . Now they can't do that. Who does that you ask? The class that's meant to "have steady damage"

Viktor pumping out 2 k damage with 3 skills late game every 40 seconds sure is very steady xDddddddd He also does this from a very safe range.

Syndra flash q r WOOOO steady damage BAYYYBAYYY

SomeLink1 votes

2k damage every 40 seconds is... low. Incredibly low. That is 1 target in a team fight. Or half a target, depending.

Syndra just burned flash, a... 5 minute? cooldown. Might be 3. Either way, long cooldown for a nuke.

Syndra is strong. I won't disagree there, and she has a fairly easy combo to hit. However, you shouldn't be in range of a syndra to get hit with that without punishment from your team.

Viktor is a skirmish mage. However, if you manage to get hit by both procs of E then you deserve to take damage.

Syndra is a burst mage, she is meant to throw all her damage in and you know "burst" someone.

Mages has always been pretty strong and this has been in place forever, as a matter of fact, before assassins where introduced to the game (probably with Akali's release) the only ones able to nuke were mages, AP itemization allowed this while AD itemization was meant for a steady type of damage.

That said, AD scalings were added with Pantheon and then champions like Riven get to have both burst and sustained damage, this is the main complain here, mages depend on cooldowns much more so than Riven or by extension marksmen.

Now marksmen can do more damage than a mage during late game when mages do fall off so it's pretty balanced, while skirmishers and assassins have relevant damage all throughout the game as long as they rack up kills.

You realize cooldown problems no longer apply to mages with the itemization all classes have now right?

Then mage update just buffed every ap champ regardless of which one actually needed one

you can only have 45% cdr? and even then both AD and AP champion have access to cdr

Don't even try to say that AD champions have longer cooldowns because that's simply not true, specially on Riven who btw isn't constrained by any kind of resource, a mage is constrained by mana and yes you can build to avoid being oom but it isn't until mid game that you can stop worrying about it, if Riven finds herself on cd all she needs to do is use her autoattack while her infinite dashes come back up.

If a mage uses all of his mana and hits you 100% of the time then he deserves to kill you since most of their damage can be avoided, if Riven and Yasuo mashes all of her buttons and kills you through autoattacks then there is a problem.

WHats funny is that I didn't say ad champions have longer cooldowns. I said that mages no longer have a cooldown problem since they will max it late game regardless or by mid game with some of the items.

Viktors entire kit late game does not blow "all of his mana" so you can stop bullshitting and making up random shit in hopes u make ur class seem innocent .

Riven flashes on a Jhin and combos him perfectly then dies when his team presses exhaust and peels the riven off. Well whoops!'

Jhin walks up too close And viktor chunks him for half with just his e late game and walks out and will come back to do it once again. !! Well gee his mana costs balance this out!!!

You proved my point when u said by mid game mages no longer have anything hating their scaling and ability to assassinate if played well. Range? Check . Mana costs not being a problem ? Check 30-45 percent cooldown by 25 min? Check

Huge abilities dealing insane damage from a range? C h e c k

exahust would also reduce Viktor's effectiveness dude, it's not like he's out of range from that and viktor is made out of paper even if he can explode a squishy, Riven is tough as nails with her AD scaling shield

Mana costs are supposed to make him susceptible during early game, late game mages are meant to burst people down, that's their job, Riven on the other hand is a skirmisher, do you read that? skimirsh? yeah, still she gets to somehow burst someone down and it's ok with you? she's not meant to do that because she has a TON more mobility and defenses than what viktor does that's exactly what balance means.

even more in my favor is that Viktor's E is a damn skillshot, you are supposed to dodge it and even more important, its damage is split in two rows, if you can't dodge either you deserve to die, simple as that, now tell me please how are you supposed to dodge anything from Riven if she manages to close the range gap? yeah

Viktor getting in range of exhaust Xxddddddddsded

Why walk up when 3 of ur abilities have huge range and do insane damage

Also late game just one part of viktors e is enough to chunk an adc. That part is also done from a far distance

You can exhaust riven and negate her damage by 40 fuckingpercent while slowing and reducing her armor. Fuck u mean LOL

you obviously have a personal gripe against the champion so this will be my last answer here.

Viktor's death ray has 525 cast range and the beam goes up to 500 range more, he could theoretically hit you with the tip at 1025 range, but in reality it often happens mid range (forget that this is a vector cast skill and aiming it is probably the hardest out of all skillshots in the game) so he can hit you at around 775 range, Exhaust has 650 Range, there's only 125 units of difference, with one dash Riven is in range to exhaust Viktor (although Riven doesn't pack exhaust often) I really don't see where you get your numbers but good luck in the fields of justice.

Let's Just forget about viktors movement speed bonuses and say riven is super mobile once again

You mean kinda like how assassins have to both find a vulnerable target and then use several abilities while marksmen only have to right click once?

Not sayign I like the mage press R to kill a target but it is a symptom of too much damage all across the board.
