May I ask why Nidalee isn't disabled or her headhunter skin to be disabled?

I just recently encountered a nidalee with the headhunter skin **throwing invisible spears. **

People taking advantage of it, playing so dirty.

it has something to do with canceling your aa animation at the right time b4 throwing a spear, iirc

That's one way discovered recently. But it's the same as the bush exploit that they fixed a while back. There have been a few ways people have consistently replicated this bug, and it gets fixed each time. But it always comes back.

Part of the problem is that it occurs seemingly at complete random. The fact that it's been "fixed" multiple times already is a testament to that.

And contrary to popular belief, Ni'd not the only one who has invisible projectiles. Mundo, Ezreal, and a few others have experience it too. Though Nid spears are by far the most impactfull.

It used to be that any skill shot fired from the fog of war would be invisible to the opponent.

Mechanically? Nobody knows. The current exploit can replicate it, but without accessing the code, there's no real way of knowing which end the problem is on.

The Q is invisible. You cancel the AA before it creates a bullet. Unfortunately, just replicating it doesn't tell you whether the bug stems from the AA or the Q.

There was a much bigger thread regarding Nidalee's spear glitch where someone posted a video on how to make it happen at will, so it's very exploitable.

That's not necessarily still available though. Riot has "fixed" it multiple times in the past by removing the known way to trigger it each time, so it's likely the way used in that video can't be used anymore. But it still happens because it has other triggers.

The post was made about a week ago, so unless they fixed it in a week it's still there.

They have responded to it multiple times recently. Just because you've not seen the response doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

They replied only a few days/weeks ago that they are trying to get rid of it but are having a lot of trouble replicating it/finding the exact cause so that they can do so.

And they're not disabling her because when there's a bug that they have no ETA on fixing, they would disable the champ in the knowledge that they could possibly stay disabled for months. And they don't want to do that. They have stated that they only like to disable champs when they know they'll be fixed soon, and as you can see from the delay, they're having a lot of trouble with this bug.

No, but Nidalee is the only one who can exploit it consistently.

The recently discovered exploit works on them too. The previously discovered exploits also worked on them.

It's a bug with some projectiles, not specifically a bug with Nidalee. Nidalee gets the most attention because she's the only one that can potentially 1-shot you.

it isn't nidalee specifically and it isn't headhunter specifically. You can do this with any champion that has a skill shot. I accidentally do it on anivia from time to time.

It doesn't have anything to do with Nidalee it isn't easier or harder. The reason you notice it on Nidalee more then any other champion is because of the range of her skill shot. It is one of the longer skill shots in the game so when it goes invisible you really notice it.

My friend and I had the same problem. We tried turning the graphics higher, it became more visible, although it was still not as obvious, but definitely easier to see than not even seeing it

That's the skin, not the bug.

Head hunter Nid's spears are known for being hard to see. That's why it's banned from tournament play (along with iBlitz).

I've seen invisible spears from WK though. For the entire game.

This has been around for a LOT longer than that. Try a few seasons.

The reason it persists is because they can't find the root cause. The bug has actually been "fixed" many times, but it always manages to come back.

Just saw headhunter nidalee skin used in eu lcs playoffs. I think it was gambit vs uol, but if they are letting lcs teams use it then they must have a fix for the issue on the way. That's what I'd assume at least.

I meant the HH skin specifically was banned because the spears were hard to see. Not because of the exploit.

I suspect this is also why people think the HH skin has more invisible spears, even though they're still equally rare.

I actually had my first game yesterday where every one of her spears was invisible except for the glowy part (it was the head hunter skin). The actual spear part was no where to be seen and it was kinda annoying. Luckily she was bad at hitting them but every single spear was invisible.

I don't find it to be that big of a deal, since it keeps the red particles. Seeing the whole spear or just the tip makes no real difference (If this is something different where its completely invisible disregard this). Either she visible and you can see her cast it, or shes not visible to you and you have a low chance of dodging it in the first place.

Don't get me wrong it should certainly be fixed, but I don't get what all the fuss is about...

Honestly her pounce is what's making her so strong, free damage and mobility rito pls. That said I've been stomping her with tanky damage dealers like Olaf and Volibear. If she can't kill you in 3 hits, she's gonna die or bug out.

I've only noticed it happening with the Headhunter skin, you can just barely see the particle effect but no spear. Pretty annoying when you die to something you can't see

I've encountered many Nidalee's without the head hunter skin and I can say that the spears are Visible. I haven't seen invisible spears in any of her other skins but the headhunter one.

IT is likely headhunter is more effective for making the invisible spear than the other skin 24/7

But seriously, I can't BELIEVE riot hasn't made any progress with this. Not even a patch. People are seriously taking advantage of this and it's just flat out playing dirty. My poor top/bot laners suffer from her roams and never expect where the invisible spear will come from.

Do you not understand basic QA?

It's kinda hard to "patch" a problem that you can't reliably recreate or recreate on a big enough scale.

Saying "OH OH! I SAW IT IN THIS GAME!" isn't a reliable recreation of a bug. If the bug was "Hold ~ then press C + Q at the same time to throw a Spear 50% of the time" then they could actually begin to work on a fix. But since that's not happening...
