Potentially changing team layouts?

Hear me out. And I don't want single-lined arguments that had no thought put into it. A discussion is what I'm after.

Has anyone experimented beyond the Top, Jungle, Mid and duo bot team composition? Example, say you had a support helping the jungler? In my mind, I always imagined Morgana to be an amazing help in the jungle with the shield and DOT. This could be a godsend for afk jungle-farmers. Say you had someone in the bot lane who could fend off two opponents (Maokai?) while the support and Jungler offers a 2-man gank to all lanes? It would speed up the clearing of the camps and could help take down towers, dragons and Rift Heralds more efficiently? It's not like it's never been done having 2v1s in the bot lane, look at last year's LCS games when they often switched lanes and they would have one person in the bot lane (The top laner) vs the ADC and Support together in the top lane.

My point is, could there be other options to have outside of the standard TJMAS that could work? I don't really play with anyone in League, so it's difficult for me to try different things without receiving crap from my teammates because they think I'm trolling when I actually want to try something (Obviously I ask beforehand, I'm not an idiot).

Progress is never achieved without tests. Has anyone else thought of changing their team in a way similar to how I brought it up? I'm not saying necessarily just support in the jungle, but maybe duo top? Duo mid? Trio bot? etc.

Well put, I did not know that. But that kind of goes beside the point of the post...

ive always wondered if 2 jungles could work one for the top half and one for the bot then just counter jungle on your respective halfs.you would be able to gank both sides of the map at the same time it would damn sure reduce the amount of teleport ganks. Have more in jungle action between sides and would also allow for basically better and quicker scaling of the laner(adc, mid and top).thoughts????

Assuming this double jungle team is blue side, I would have an AP/Tank jungler for the northern portion (Mah boi, Amumu) with some AD or Assassin Jungler (e.g. Lee Sin) in the southern portion. Switch it around if you're on red side.

Why? Amumu would start Gromp, Golems, Wolves then Scuttle (Or how I would start, depending on the enemy jungler, Red, then Gromp, then scuttle, then Golems) While Lee would go Krugs, Red, Scuttle, Gank. (Invade if possible)

I find the southern portion on blue side is made for those types of champs that either don't require mana or can force an early gank.

Here's how I see bot lane's situation:

Pro: Gets solo exp while the enemy has to share it. Con: Can be easily bullied, is stuck in a 2v1 laning phase.

For the bullying Con, assuming the enemy support is not a tank (Alistar, Thresh, Blitz, etc) farming under tower could rectify this problem. It's not very difficult once you get the hang of it. The other issue is the 2v1 scenario which could be solved with Lee Sin's early ganks which is something he excels at.

Amumu is also a champion that can't have decent ganks pre-6. (More specifically, my Amumu ganks pre-6 are awful), which works out for the lonely island that is top lane. And it's not like you need that tower early, have someone like Nasus, Mundo or Garen who can stay in the lane for eternity with little to no issue.

I have no idea who would be good for bot lane, tho. I suggested Maokai because I don't see him as a champ that would have that much of an issue in a 2v1 scenario especially with his passive. Thing is, the reason I would want this double-jungle would be to get that early bot tower. Maokai isn't too great at taking towers. :/

I don't have much of an understanding for team compositions, I just have ideas that seem like they could work.

However, having a good counter-jungling champion would not only encourage ganks on both side lanes, it would also slow down the progress of the enemy jungler. Effectively taking down one of the enemy players setting him behind on exp due to lack of creeps.
