I miss the old Vladimir
I'm Gold 5 so I know everyone won't take this seriously but either way, I have 126 days of in-game experience to sorta back my claims.
Vladimir is a champion I've been playing since late season 2, I have this thing for playing underrated champions and no one played him. At first it was terrible because I tried killing my opponent and always lost, game after game I was getting crushed by even the weakest laners. Then I realized that Vlad is a champion that essentially 'whittles' down his opponent, making small, risky trades to eventually come out on top with his superior sustain. His weakness being bursty champions who can kill him way before he can kill them.
Although with the recent Vladimir update it would seem that concept has been tossed aside. Before Tides of Blood was some extra burst onto your opponents, occurring instantly while not impeding your ability to use Q in case you take some unwanted damage. With his new Tides of Blood however, it seems the primary directive of the ability is to burst your opponent with a blast of blood. For me the counter intuitive part of his new Tides of Blood is that it requires you to 'charge up' the ability if you want it to do significant damage, with that said no other abilities can be cast during this charging, meaning in order to Q you need to release the ability.
In my opinion this goes completely against what Vladimir was as a champion. The reason I say that is because now you don't have the option to 'whittle' down your opponent, you can Q then E but if you're full Hp it wont matter, you can also E then Q but if you need to heal you release E early which means it deals no damage. Also when you're running at the other laner with your E charging. . they just run backwards and avoid the ability completely. If a fight suddenly starts and you try to cast a charged E, but typically by then CC or dmg has got you already.
I'm probably just stuck in the past, but myself I find the recent patch to Vladimir awful
