@RiotRepertoir When Garen hits level 6 and nobody on the enemy team has kills...

Can we make it so his enemy laner automatically becomes the Villain?

I mean, it's kinda lame that you have to feed a kill to your opponent, so you can have the Villain mechanic on him.

It would still work as it is right now if the enemy team has kills, but if they don't have any kills, could we add this one QoL change? Thanks c:

Or, if it makes his laning phase too strong, just a random system would be nice.

We gave some consideration to ideas like this while working on Villainy, but ultimately, we decided it didn't make much sense, and that it's okay if there are times when there is no Villain. Villainy is intended to a comeback mechanic, so it doesn't really make sense to have it active if the enemy is unable to even score a kill on your team.

Well thank you Repertoir for the very quick answer! :)

have you guys fixed the tooltip bug yet? didnt check today.

but the number displayed for teh total damage was calculated incorrectly. it only counts the base damage once to the total value instead of base damage x tick#

my issue with that is, if a good deal of his power budget is now on his ulti with that passive, wouldn't it be hurting the other areas if the enemy team has no villain?

but if no one on the enemy team is able to get a kill, why does it matter if Garen is weaker than he would be?

Exactly. If no one on the enemy team has a kill, it means your team is doing their job

I have a few thoughts on how that should work

Villian mechanic will tag the nearest enemy with most kills as the villain Instead of most kills it is most gold

If garen attacks the villain he is rewarded with a movespeed boost And breaks free from any crowd control The movespeed boost has no cooldown but the remove cc has one of 10 seconds

I think an RNG would be completely unreliable and too much of a tossup. Then your laning phase can be decided by a single RNG, and nobody wants to play like that.

(RNG=RandomNumbersGenerator)

Well, to be honest, what do you prefer?

Nothing or Something that is possible?

RetroRage963 votes

Nothing.

I don't want to leave my laning phase (Garen or opposition) to an RNG. And the community would never support it.

Well make it so the champion who has damaged the most recently before he got his ultimate is his Villain.

So he'll have his Villain mechanic against his laner.

In theory if the villian mechanic was something that consistently appeared on your lane opponent without him putting you down Garen's baseline power might have to suffer because of it.

Imagine a game where you are going even in Garen or even slightly beating him in CS, and no one on your team has kills.

Now imagine him hitting level six and suddenly doing true damage to you, purely because you happen to be laning against him.

I see vayne, darius, ahri, twitch, corki, and idk who else. Twitch and corki are fine though, but they also get free true damage just by being in lane against you

No, not really; It's not even really necessary. The "villain" mechanic, whether it's lame or not, is just a straight out buff to the ability's strength, gaining no downsides to it (it's power for nothing and chicks for free).

If the enemy have no kills, isn't that a good thing for Garen's team? Hell,if Garen's team is stomping the enemy, then there's no need for the villain mechanic.
