Yikes, mids taking smite to get a massive XP advantage now.
Good changes, tho.

support.
For new they are trying it, you have ppl like Shitpur calling it meta but also ppl like Froggen calling it trash.
I'm still not sure.
Froggen only cares about his laning phase. Be very cautious of things he says.
Still I don't think this will last long. They're experimenting and that's cool.
But taking Smite is an invitation to all in you. The JGL wont like it especially in early. In late it's kinda terrible, although having another tool to secure objectives might be usefull.
So far we've seen a couple cases of Lanes using Smite to gain adavantages. Heal them selfes of camps, access over powered JGL Items, but it never went actually META.
Besides that, even if it becomes to much of an issue Riot can simplay add BonusDMG to smite when buying a JGL-Item and/or increase the Bonus EXP from said Items while further decreasing Camp-Values. ^^
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a neat idea for such a strategic niche. I just think it needs more trade offs than what it has currently. If you feel safe enough to take smite mid instead of something that will actually help you in lane, there's a problem.
Edit: They could make a change to the jungle item that lowers minion damage so it's a much less attractive option for anyone but junglers. That's if this becomes out of control.
This isn't a change that I think is bad though. It's a new strategy that doesn't really affect Junglers too much most of the time. In fact, considering that Scuttle helps provide vision, it is usually fine if a Laner takes Scuttle since Scuttle isn't just for the Jungler, it's for river control for the whole team in general.
Not anymore since they linked so much of the junglers' experience dependency on it.
Junglers don't rely on the scuttlecrab lol calm the hell down.
Camps now have scaling experience until lvl 7 so even though the first clear is weaker the camps give more xp later.
Go jungle for about 10 games straight. Take none of the scuttle crabs in those games and see how outleveled you get by the enemy jungler and laners. If you end up winning more games than you lose, kudos. Afterward you can come back and tell me they don't rely on it if you still believe it.

Well of course, if your team loses the crabs you should be behind. What I was trying to convey before is that even if mid laners take the scuttlecrab jungle is still fine. It won't suddenly make jungle unplayable or something.
Nah, you'll still be able to play it. You'll be able to PVE just fine. Being behind in levels means you won't do much in a lot of fights, though. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the jungle changes so far, I just think there may be something wrong with laning if you're able to get away with taking a non-combat summoner into a lane and be perfectly fine.
Also, maybe play at least a single jungle game before you say the role is fine. You actually have no idea if it is fine, currently.
