Sobering realization

Today, playing a normal game, came across a duo who apparently had known each other for a while. They were talking in pregame lobby and sometimes in game. The guy asks his friend a question, "are you sure you haven't been playing recently?" The question made me realize that not everyone plays the game all the time. Whenever I get mad at teammates that rotate late and tilt myself, maybe I should think of why they may be playing off, instead of immediately just wanting the game to end or getting pissy.

Idk, it makes sense to me.

Starting about June of last year, I started playing some of the other games I had piling up cause I had this odd idea of "if I want to get better at league, I should play other games" because they require different skills and mindsets. Besides that, I'm still sitting on about 150+ unplayed minus one since I just finished Mandagon.

Besides, now I can laugh at posts saying "Riven / Yasuo is high-skill champ."

Funny enough, playing BlazBlue drastically improved my Riven play.

She was designed with anime fighting games in mind. that explains much of her combo based playstyle.

I'm the type of guy to play in bursts. I'll play a bunch of games and then not play for awhile as I get distracted by other games.

I´ve had people trying to force rotation way early as i see it......or force it into a bad matchup.-

I don't want my 3.0.0 toplane to try and match enemy 2.2,1 and 1.2.2 botlane, i know that won't work out when they are playing something like Gnar and enemy is on Vayne+lulu.

I´ve also had cases when i while playing toplane and barely holding on is told to switch down to botlane........meanwhile enemy botlane is at about 3 kills each and 3 assists and i am building MR because i played into a teemo or vlad.

Sometimes rotating is not the best option and yet people seem to want to force it like its some kind of "must do" to win......its not :(

Sure its a great thing to do while ahead and stable, but putting your strong against a weak enemy and your weak against a slightly less weak enemy will only result in them catching up and the team suffering more as a result.

Rotating is a great thing to do.....when the conditions are met, otherwise its a surefire way to shoot oneself in the foot more than anything else.

There can be any number of reasons people are playing off, don't waste your time trying to diagnose them. Just use what you have, try to supplement what your teammates are doing right, and make it work. If someone keeps overextending, do what you can to keep them from getting ganked. If your teammate seems distracted and goes still a lot, don't just jump into a fight expecting them to notice. The worst offender is tilt. If our teammate is tilted to hell, getting rude with them will make things worse for everyone.

The problem right now is, that small mistakes like this can snowball and decide the game to easily.

This is along the lines of why people playing new champs in ranked right after they get released doesn't bother me. In any game you can have a player who is doing poorly because they are first trying a champ, you just don't see it because it's not a new champ in the roster. It's really no different to any other time, no use getting tilted

that is a rather self defeating argument.

When I play in an inter-uni tournament, a lot of the team tend to be able to play constantly throughout the week;

my university is one of the more demanding ones, so we tend to be lucky to be able to even participate.
