It's not that it's hard to get S on support but...

It's lame that you have to play suboptimally to get it.

If you want S on support, just just need to try to KS as much as possible. (actually, that's how to do it with any role, but for most roles it's not as bad to do this.)

Yes, KDA isn't the only factor in champion grading, but it is a very big one.

Champion kills should NOT be weighed as strongly for supports / tank champions as it is on other champions. A 7/5/10 thresh usually played worse than a 0/5/30 thresh (with the team scores). Yet, the support with higher kills than deaths usually gets a better score.

Sincerely, semi-support main.

I know why Riot doesn't want to release the formula for grades, but especially at support I feel it's needed.

Do I need high kill participation? Then I'll roam, despite that being counterintuitive in DQ. **Do levels matter? ** Then I better NOT roam Does Riot count non-end-screen stats? If not, I'd better not play shielding champs. **Are deaths important? ** Better stop dying to save my teammates **Does gold earned matter? ** Better stack gp10 and try to farm

I could go on, but all of these are examples of questions that other roles have much less problem answering, which is why I wish Riot could clarify the formula for support.

This. ALL OF THIS.

I had a game where I went 6/3/19 as Bard, got an S-

Went 2/4/14, got an A-

1/7/19 - A-

3/2/16 - S-

If I KNEW what I was suppose to do to get an S or an S+ I'd be more inclined on doing it. However, I feel better putting Bard ( My main since his initial release ) on a bench because there isn't a point. Either I go 2/0/18 and get an S or I do well enough to get an S, putting on a GREAT display of my Mastery of Bard, and boom, A-

If I knew there was a formula, I would work to better myself for the grade I want to reach. As far as I'm concerned, it's pointless to grind out tokens on a support unless you A: Only fight in fights you KNOW you can win and not die, or B: Win so hard your enemy team can't react.

Getting a 1/0/15 and getting an A only makes me wonder what on earth did i do wrong.

I'm a diamond player (currently plat because I haven't played much ranked this season). I know how to play support and I obviously do that already. I always use my sightstone, trinket, actives and buy pinks. The only way to significantly boost my grades at this point is by improving KDA and farm more.

Yes, I make mistakes, but not on such huge scale that the system will detect it (other than poor KDA sometimes).
