serious question: is the 5ms irelia buff another spit in our faces?

it reminds me of zoe's 0,25 cd nerf.

wow irelia lost 5 movementspeed holy shit. its not like she is a phage/trinity user and with her q jumps around 24/7. oh no i bet that totally fucked her over.

Tbh, I was pretty surprised they did it. 5 ms is a lot. Like, I can't think of many times they've made ms changes in recent history. That effects everything. Getting to lane after backs, roaming, chasing, even matching rotations. It's a whole bunch of "you get there 1 second slower and now your adc is dead since you were late" kinda things. It doesn't do much to her in combat (infinite dashes op op -_-) but it does seriously hurt her macro game and ability to snowball around the map.

So no, I don't think it's a spit in the face. It's not my preferred nerf (I'd like to see her in-combat mobility decreased) but I am interested to see how hard it hits her, especially at high elo where every second counts.

She lost 2% win rate off of that nerf alone and you're saying it's a "spit to your face"?

Are you shitting me right now?

as with every change to champs, thats the average alergic reation. 95% of reworked/new released champs have a winrate below 40% for their first 3-4 weeks. does that mean they are bad? no.

whenever a champ gets a small nerf OR BUFF its winrate tends to drop as more (or less) people play the champ.

  1. The champion isn't new.

  2. A nerf wouldn't make MORE people play the champ. She still has relatively similar pick rates to before, but she still lost 2% win rate.

You can't just make up shit on the fly. You need to be grounded in some form of evidence or analysis when making a claim.

yasuo nerfs made more ppl play him as less ppl banned him.

need evidence? find the last patch where he got nerfed and compare his pickrate to the patch before

5 move speed is more impactful than it sounds. It means if she has no jump targets she has a harder time escaping a gank, or catching up to a fleeing kill.
