Sometimes a solution can be found by communicating with your team-mates and reallocating resources. In a few games I played years ago, there'd be cases where:
- junglers would coordinate ganks to help you out, because mid is really easy for everyone to pitch in after setting up slow pushes (which I call caster rushes because it's easy to tell you've set one up because of the growing mob of casters).
- the support might migrate to mid
- mid and top would switch, especially if the enemy top is squishy. Two mostly even lane matchups are often better than having one lane completely under control and the other out of control.
I know communication and strategy changes are both non-answers, but they're the only way to address a mismatch of skill and/or mechanical features.
