instead they actually are better than having an AP on your team

I think this is why AP's are getting shut down this season.

Why pick an AP when there is no punishment for having a full AD team

This argument is invalid.......you have a large assortment of armor items on top of tanky masteries to shut down AD comps. There are also specific champions like Rammus , Malphite , and the new Shen that can counter these comps.

Full AD comps are not getting shutdown because they are not building full AD. Riot has added items like Devourer, Rageblade, and Rapidfire cannon to bring in magic damage, making it impossible to properly itemize against full AD teams. More AD champions are gaining true damage. And then you have perhaps the easiest access to armor penetration in the game's history.

Damage composition only matters if there's an enemy tank. Though a strong frontline is almost obligatory this season.

Actually part of the problem you might be feeling is how anti burst bruisers are now

That's partly a champion issue. But also I really think some of these anti burst items and bruiser items in general need a look.

Really... what we probably need to do is remove total ad ratios from everything with range + mobility so sterakks stays a juggernaut item. And use + base ad on some more bruiser items
