URF is terrible. Stop bringing it back.

In my experience URF entices you with the possibility of a super pop-off game. But in reality most of your games are going to be stupid and frustrating. It just takes all the bad things about League and amplifies them massively. It takes some good things and amplifies them too, but let's be real. Solo queue is toxic and frustrating most of the time. There is way more "bad" to amplify than "good". It scales harder.

I used to play some URF every time it came back and then I'd get disgusted and say "Never again!" but then next time I foolishly played it again. Well now I know better. I remember that it's going to be lame 90% of the time so I don't play it anymore.

I think the burn out theory about why URF makes people quit is slightly off the mark. People do not burn out from "too much fun!!" but rather, the expectation vs reality of URF. They seek that elusive super pop off game, but most of the time it's just frustrating and bad. Eventually this burns people out and they just kinda take a break. And then their League addiction is likely to be broken because they start being happier without League solo queue in their life. It's not that URF makes regular League seem not as exciting anymore. It's that URF is so fucking bad that it breaks them out of the endless cycle of toxic solo queue for long enough that they get interested in something else or realize they weren't happy playing this game.
