Anyone else disappointed that Thunderlord's is staying in the game?

Even with the change I don't think it'll be a very interesting keystone. Just a bunch of extra burst for anyone who can quickly combo their abilities. It's a shame because those types of champions will inevitably be tuned around using it, so they will have trouble running other keystones which actually have cool gameplay.

Also untrue. Most of them are probably damage based as well.

But either way it's a keystone which is your highest impact rune so that's why I think it's bad to have one that's boring.

This actually makes thunderlord's less common of a mastery I think. Because a number of champs just rely on 2 aa and an ability to proc it right now - something not possible with its rework. Or... they rely on an ability like pantheon e - which currently proc's it all by itself - and will not do so next season. I think the changes actually push it more towards the champs it was intended for and less for some other champs.

I mean I'm happy that it's less guaranteed on many champs which will encourage those champs to take more interesting keystones.

I find it disappointing that it even exists because I want to avoid using it. Any time I feel like it's the best choice for a champion I'm playing, I feel like I'll be upset that I'm missing out on more interesting gameplay.

As opposed to fervor, grasp, dft, or the other keystones right now? None of them besides maybe stormraider really stand out.

No. As opposed to the upcoming keystones in Runes Reforged.

I hate how Mages get rlly boring another thunderlords when every other role gets new stats.

Thunderlords was also nerfed for many mages. Thunderlords is now better on melee ad due to always all ining and not poking. It was nerfed so poke champs cannot poke as effectively anymore, making melee midlaners even more oppressive to deal with.

Even then, Mages need thunderlord to have damage. Without thunderlords they won't be doing enough damage as many champs were nerfed due to having a good interaction with thunder lords with one ability(ahri's w, syndra r). They are even more reliant on thunderlords after their damage nerfs and the new thunderlords just makes it to a very boring keystone.

Mages got no infinite scaling stuff either.
