If the bruiser keystone pops into precision tree Garen can't make use of it.

Just wanted to point that out. Garen isn't an AA champion and the tree as it is doesn't give much if any AD stats. Just Attack Speed which is useless to him.. Sure he can make use of the AD amplification but that's only once he's built some AD items and a chunk of or all the lane phase will be over by then.

I'm not saying it will be useless for him but I don't see it helping Garen in his current underpowered form. He is so weak right now. It's painful playing him.

What you mean? You can take the new bruiser keystone+triumph/overheal+legend tenacity+coup de grace and literally have no rune depending on autos

The buff the tree gives is AS. Like the buff from sorcery tree is AD or AP. And resolve tree is Health. Darius or Trundle both benefit from AS because it relates to their core design and kit and amps their ultimates and sustained attacks. Doesn't do anything for Garen who is a bruiser too. It would amp his AD once in sustained combat but taking the tree reduces his starting AD anyway and his core kit revolves around his Q and E which have long CDs making any amp buff irrelevant.

Can't see this bruiser keystone helping Garen at all. Darius Trundle and perhaps Riven yes. But not him.

You're playing Garen wrong if you don't think he's an auto attack champ. The AS on the base does help him wave clear, btw.

all of his choices are awkward or shit. many champions can pick keystones that support their playstile instead of altering it or having to play some weird mini game. they do what they usually do and naturally proc those keystones with their abilities. like marksmen with press the attack by just auto attacking you, or someone like zed by just proccing electrocute on the side when he all ins you.

on garen you need to build sunfire cape just to be able to proc electrocute or phase rush properly because q + spin alone isnt enough.

grasp is only decent against melee matchups. even there it feels awkward, since garens full ability combo takes 3 seconds to execute, which means you have to overstay in a trade for a full second to get the grasp proc. most opponents trade even faster and quickly pull back (like renekton) before the rune is ready.

klepto is garbage on him, so is glacial augment.

that being said, i tried the new bruiser keystone on the pbe and its not that great. it takes too long to proc in a fight, and you usually cant hold onto it long enough.

most lane trades or skirmishes are too short to make proper use of the rune.

possible. but i mean. it takes really long to ramp up. youre pretty much banking on the game going past 30 minutes.

though its fun with items like triforce or infinity edge. predator is pretty decent too. if you can get a couple of ingenius hunter stacks, its like a 60 second cd ghost.

This one will be absurdly strong on garen and darius. Charge it up, go for a Q and now all the damage you deal during this trade has 20% of its damage converted to true damage. Its strong.
