Does Diana drop off late game? (Legt question)

Diana has near Rengar levels of burst while being significantly tankier and having access to Zhonya's. I don't see how she falls off.

Weird, I always considered her as one of the strongest late game champions in the game, she has huge scalings and goes so well with items. Her burst is pretty insane, she was considered at one moment as a splitpush counter to Zed, which is pretty huge, since Zed is one of the strongest duellists in the game mid-lategame.

No. She scales hard into the late game like an aoe akali who has cc and tankiness, and does her burst far faster.

Eventually yes she does, as soon as people get resistances it becomes much more difficult for Diana to assassinate. The best way to play Diana late game is to try and flank and pick off carries,

Most mages who rely on one ability so heavily fall off late game as banshees veil is a core late game item for pretty much anyone. She is however tankier than most mages so although she wont burst someone 100-0 unless super fed, she will live longer to dish out more damage

and a diana who's either beefy or has zhonyas can engage on her own by ulting into the enemy team and pressing E.

That is enough to kill any adc.

Diana is not as good late game as she is mid game because of a few things.

1. No escape. End game, people will not die as quickly. That hourglass helps but once she goes in she can't come back out. it's more likely end game than mid game that just hourglass won't be enough.

3. Going with the tone set with #1, harder for her to assassinate someone.

4. Furthering the point in 1 and 3, ADCs will be lifestealing much more back and dishing out more damage. This plus GA makes Diana's job not only harder, but less valuable, and more likely to cost her her life.
