@ Riot, when would we ever want to pick Morde bot over our ADC or Support?

Pretty much the title. Ranged is easier to protect than melee, his poke was nerfed, he already brings no kind of CC, and all he can really do is bring a Dragon with him, which is very cool, but easy to stop by taking dragon if hes on the enemy team. Is there a reason you couldnt make him a jungler? We could do a duo top with morde and a support, but nobody will agree to that in ranked.

MDK pushes lane like a boss, a clustered ADC and support would take attrition damage from him farming, a good sustain / CC support like Janna / Nami would keep MDK healthy and pushing. I'm actually really eager to try it.

They nerfed Mordekaiser's waveclear by making Q single-target and reducing his Es damage.

At this point he's more likely to be pushed out of lane than to win a war of attrition.

I assume the idea is that his own shield mechanic is to keep him safe in lane.

But there are still a few problems. It's really iffy and gimmicky. But it can be done. Did a lane with Karma/Renekton bot lane a couple days ago that went well. We had a rough start but I just made sure to shield him well and we played aggressively for most of it. Had to keep them scared. But this is Renekton who has a strong early game and enough mobility and CC to matter. Morde would require someone else to CC/give him mobility.

It all just seems weird. I want to see them break ADC's off from being the only roll that's expected every game. Morde just feels like an odd spot. But we'll see.
