League, how you've fallen

I've played this game for about five years now, since 2013.

Originally, I started playing this game with a small circle of friends. I played the tutorial and built thornmail on Ashe, then played bots for while because PVP was too rough. Little did I realize mostly everyone was smurfing in PVP. Most were complete assholes to me being a new player and all, but I kinda expected that for it being an online game, and I got threatened to be reported constantly. I took a liking to on-hit Teemo because a friend told me about mobafire. I played that for the first few months while I learned about what champions did what.

Once I spent about a year playing the game, I decided to play Janna after seeing her in pro play. I played the champion for a solid two years, and I climbed as high as Gold V, granted I never really played much of ranked because of anxiety. It was during this time, my friends and I who had been playing just about every day for a year got into a huge heated argument over this stupid game. Since that fight, I've probably spoken with my former friends about 3 times to date.

About midway into my first two years of playing this game I received a permanent account suspension. I had played a ranked game where my bot lane was duo queued and for whatever reason threw the game, and specifically intentionally fed my laner and subsequently everyone else on the enemy team. I was playing offrole top lane, this was back when players knew how to play other roles without shitting themselves if they didn't get their desired role. Regardless, I said some mean things, then got punished. It was at this point in which I should have just quit the game.

I sank about $600 into that account. It blew my mind when I contacted Riot and found out because I was talking shit in a video game, they would not remove the suspension. I got punished, and to this date, there is no system in place to punish blatant intentional feeders that will go out of their way to ruin your games. So, naturally I made a new account and that's still going, and have not purchased any RP at all.

Until this point, I was completely fine with playing the game and I understood the rules and had switched to a top main; however, the entire balance of this game has been thrown out of proportion. I've seen everything from the assassin meta to the tank meta to the ADC meta, and by far the ADC meta is the most cancerous. ADC's don't even have to wait to scale into the late game. Tank items aren't effective at all because all they did was reduce the price of the items and make the tank stats less and less effective. This entire meta is dictated by a diceroll of randoms in bot lane.

Top lane actually has no agency over this game in the slightest. That's the worst part of this game. By 15 minutes it's decided who will win based on how bot lane did. ADC's are essentially full build at this point. There are no late game champions.

Not to mention your abomination of an Irelia rework. You literally took Fiora's kit, slapped a few changes on it and called it a day.

One player can lose you the game, but one player cannot win you the game.

At the end of the day, I'm not having fun, my friends aren't having fun, and there are just better games to play.
