Why is this game prone to winning and losing streaks?

It seems like I either win for a week, then lose for a week or <insert period of time here>. I am never winning a game, then losing a game. It is always one extreme or the other. Why is this?

Basically my life this week, i go on a incredible win streak up to plat1, and now currently plat3. My gameplay hasn't changed, i've just found to get matched with less capable teamates.

its literally what happens and people come and tell you " oh its your fault yoru the common factor"

like really. you look up these people. they die like 10 times + every game. they just get carried sometimes. they are bad. thats it. they don't belong in their rank

The matchmaking is designed to keep your win rate below 51% by pairing you with noobs or scrubs while putting you up against better players. Rito draws in a larger number of casuals into their market if they keep everyone down at the same level, I guess is the reasoning behind it. Everyone gets a prize, everyone's a weiner!

Depends on how well you play and often varying on the skillfloor of the champion

This is my ranked games the past few weeks. I win a bunch of games, break into silver 2. Get on the boarder of silver 2 then all hell breaks loose. I screw up big time a few games, my jungler disconnects the next, my support or mid laner feeds his face off and the gods descend from Olympus to play on the enemy team. Gets real depressing sometimes :(

My guess is your MMR rises, which pits you against better players to the point where you no longer win every game.

But when your MMR is too high, you start losing streaks, which don't go away until your MMR drops to a level that is comparable to your skill.

match making, there's a reason they don't show you mmr information of your teammates

I mean, I was playing once and I was against several D2 players in normals. I play around high silver to low gold. Matchmaking doesn't seem to be in the best shape. Or I'm just bad. Pretty sure it's the latter.

At least you get win streaks... I get massive losing streaks with a single win at a time. Exclusively. Forever.

its based off of a 50% winrate, so when you win 3-4 in a row, it throws dummies at you to make it harder.
