After nerfing her Sideboob, Akali has been chosen to be the next VGU! Expectations and wishes?
The champion Roadmap hit today and revealed a lot of the champions and reworks we can expect in the near future. And one of them was of course, as I predicted, Akali, the Fist of Shadows!
An obvious choice, as the Ninja gmaiden has a lot of untapped potential in terms of execution since her basic theme of "NINJA GIRL" is one that could be realized in a way more interesting way than what we currently have.
So, what do you guys, Akali mains in particular, expect of her upcoming VGU?
What are the things you consider core to her character?
What mechanics would you like to preserve in a way?
What would you scrap completely?
Anything in particular you want to have explored more?
I personally hope for her to really become more Ninja-like With deception and shadow tricks that allow her to outsmart her enemies With huge assassination potential, similar to how Evelynn was shifted to Burst instead of DPS
I'd like to see her relationship with both Zed and Shen explored more and make her theme revolve more around the whole "Twin Disciple" idea where she incorporates both Shadow Order techniques and Spirit Magic like Shen uses in her own style. Serving as the de facto missing link between the two Ninja Orders and really giving us a more nuanced view of the whole power dynamic of the Ionian clans.
