its about time to replace crit with a consistent power

its really about time, Riot every few months say that they don't exactly like crit or the way it works but they never change it. why isn't crit a ramp up damage? after all its supposed to be for dps and not burst (thats what armor pen is for).

nobody likes to win trades because they got lucky. or lose trades because they didn't crit 10 autos in a row with 50% crit chance.

at least some brainstorming from riot. or some just experimentation internally or on pbe would be worth a try. nothing live just try it out yourself am sure the great minds there can figure something out

Its somewhat balanced around the fact that not critting increases your crit chance and not critting increases your crit chance. So in a way it kind of is a ramp up.

no it really isn't. its a roll of dice.

if it takes 3 crits to kill me and the enemy crits 3 times in a row with 20% crit. I'd feel cheated because they didn't buy the required stats to get that much power

That would be extremely extremely lucky, because again the more you crit the lower crit chance you have. It would be near impossible to crit 3-4 times in a row with 20% crit chance.

You clearly have not taken Probability in your Math Courses. Unless Riot made the formula like that, there is no reason why that would be the case.

No, riot actually uses pseudo-RNG and not true RNG. (your chance to crit actually increases the more you don't crit and decreases the more you crit) Yes, your crit chance plays a HUGE part, but riot goes out of their way to prevent lucky / unlucky streaks

It can still happen, but its less likely than you'd think
