It was during preseason when lethality was being abused and any adc that wasnt varus was killed in less than 1/2 a second.

After this went viral on Reddit, the meme was born.

It was made by adcs who walked into melee range of a juggernaut and complained about getting killed. Nowadays someone like can actually get away with it. It is so ridiculous how this game is so warped around adcs.

As someone else said, in the preseason and early patches of this season, ADC's were absolute trash and not able to really viably have an impact on the game. So much to the point that people weren't even taking ADC's bot lane at all; they were taking Ziggs and mages.

I still hesitate to say that ADC's as a whole are overpowered. A tiny portion of them are legitimately good and viable; this is how its been for ages. :/ Unless you're playing Draven, Lucian, MF, Xayah, Cait, or Twitch, carrying the game is ridiculously hard. I'm a Tristana main and there's a reason I've been playing MF more than her lately; I can't carry games as Trist. I can be 12/3 and still lose a game; in fact, I have been 12/3 and lost the game still.

You know, this season was:

• 5 man dives bot. It wasn't necessarily about being better, but getting a first botlane tower dive

• playing basically anything other than was absolutely miserable if you didn't win, because you were useless. Sometimes you could get away with playing , maybe .

• If you don't know how shit the role was at the start of the season, this will tell you.

• Junglers having huge XP advantages over botlane. Rengar, Khazix just oneshotting you in general.

• Lethality, that made and sometimes the only legit champions to actually not get buttfucked every single game. got fucked for Lethality, was S-tier basically the whole season (in competitive)

The state the ADCs are in is absolutely different compared to what it used to be. Now you can play pretty much anything you want and try to actually carry.
