This was back in Season 6. This was a fun game for a very long time.
Now, if League could make baby steps backwards towards that meta, The game would be WAY more fun than being instantly killed by the winning team in today's meta. I miss old League.
You can balance items and runes to make tanks more effective (the champions are fine. This is a background stats issue).
Tank meta was the only time the game made sense. But people whined that they did too much damage for being tanky.
They didn't, they just soaked up so much of their damage that what little damage tanks did just added up enough over the fight to kill them because they were dumb enough to focus the tank anyways with pure damage and no defence of their own. Especially the ones able to boost their armor or reduce damage taken in their kit without items.
This is also why Riot buffs damage now when a tank becomes underpowered to make them relevant again, so they would stop saying they were to strong when really they just hard to kill alone, like a tank should be.
I like seeing old clips of malphite doing no damage, but tanking damage like a boss how tanks should be. I'm sad I wasn't around for when tanks actually did what they are supposed to do. Can we bring that back? Tanks are supposed to be hard to kill. But because they are supposed to deal no damage you're supposed to try and ignore them and focus the damage dealers then deal with the tank after taking out the damage. However tanks aren't tanking like they should be and the ones that are actually able to squeeze into the meta are doing damage that they shouldn't be. >.>

That looks like fun actually. I like how combat is drawn out instead of a precise combo to completely decimate someone.
During tank meta, a match can draw out indefinitely and cause bug. Neither team can finish the other Nexus since both can't die. Adc and other Assasin are literally next to useless because hitting a tank is equivalent of hitting yourself. You deal no dmg to them while their Thorn mail hitting you like a truck. Adc and other Offensive role have to take risk of dying to kill people while Tank do not take any of those risk. This is why "Tank meta" is not fun or fair. For more reference, please look at Tank Karma montage. Literally Tank for day. The community agree that Tank Fizz and Tank Ekko are cancer, do you want to appeal to that with reason? The video you show only give you a side of tank meta where it look fun but I bet it won't be when you face % hp dealing dmg tank like Mundo Or CC machine Maokai.
