PSA From a Jungler

If you are going to help your jungler start a camp (thanks!) please make sure you're gone by the time the monsters die. If you stay in range you'll split the XP and slow down your jungler's leveling.

That is all.

Dear lane mates, please don't get mad all because I took a few minions. It was because I needed less than 50 gold or because I set up a perfect gank and you stayed back till the last second even though I pinged 20 times telling you I was coming to gank. A jungler is on a tight budget and every second I spend ganking is a second I could spend farming my jungle so consider it compensation. (also, please don't get mad if I take the cannon minion if jungling Scion or Nasus, we just want to get stronger so we can help you out better)

Dear Mid lane, please do not think that the Raptors are your personal mini-farm. The True Sight Buff is the strongest of the new buffs when not farming. We are on an EXTREMELY tight budget and I don't see why I should have to pay 300 gold for Pink Wards all because you wanted 100 gold. So not only are you taking gold out of the jungler's pocket, but you're forcing us to spend more because we now don't have a free Elixir.

Dear Mid lane, stop assuming that Blue Buff is always yours. It is not. We give buffs to help the team but if you insult us or are behind with little change of coming back than a jungler has the right to take Blue for themselves. Think of it this way, if you are a support and your ADC either insults you or is doing poorly, would you rather spend gold to help the ADC who insults/has little chance of recovery, or would you rather spend your small amount of gold to help yourself so you can help the rest of the team more efficiently?

Dear team, please stop forcing Junglers and Supports to be your personal ward placers. We have a very small budget and you're making us spend more of it on wards. Riot gave you the ward trinket for a reason, Junglers and many Supports have to grab the Scanner so that we can gank better and/or prevent the enemy from ganking you.

Dear team, please for the love of all that is holy give me a leash. Giving me a leash means that the jungle won't kick my behind and force me to recall after first clear. That's right, giving me a leash means faster and healthier ganks. So helping me jungle allows me to gank faster so you can stomp all over the enemy. Also, if you're not in a lane in which is close enough to help leash, than please make sure the enemy doesn't sneak in and take the other large buff camp. We aren't asking you to do anything more than stand in one spot for a minute max. Even dropping a ward would be fine (as long as you at least try to make sure it doesn't run out of time before the camp spawns).

duo lane gives 3 autos each. just give 3 autos and leave. dont try to judge it based on health or anything. just 3 autos

top lane gives 4 autos. just give 4 autos and leave. don't try to judge it based on health or anything. just 4 autos

this way you miss no farm in lane without stealing any jungle experience, and it gets you to lane soon enough that you can deal with a fast shove strategy from the enemy team.

I often want shorter leashes than I get, as I want to smite as early as possible to get the cooldown started (and the buff) but don't want to smite before I know they're leaving.

But yes, definitely can't afford to split that xp. A jungler NEEDS level 2 off of that first camp in order to clear effectively. Solo'ing a camp while still level 1 is very hard in this jungle.

I started krugs. I had an adc stay to help me leash red. I was a tank. I cried.

Hold on, didn't they make it so that it only gives XP to the killer?

I even remember my ADC on time trying to get a lv 2 head start for us with gromp and I didn't get any xp out of it.

Since someone has mentioned it, might as well ask. As a support I will only see the jungle insta-smite 50%-60% of the time. (I don't pay attention to the jungler when I'm not helping so that may not be accurate.) That makes it hard to judge when it's time to leave or not. So I made up a little rule to go by! I will leave with the minions. As in, if we're helping with Gromp, once the minions have reached my position I will leave to walk with them into the lane. Is this okay or should I be leaving sooner?

I have had to violently ping back a helping support so often these days... It feels like kicking a dog they're just helping they dont know any better :(

Wow. -14 for a semi-joke. Harsh.

Real talk though about laners taking that bottom camp. If YOU, the jungler, are starting on Krugs, please expect your top laner to take the Bullfrog, and vice versa with bot lane taking Krugs if you start LSD Frog. Here's why.

A.) It's going to give them a lane advantage. Most solo lanes are all about hitting that level 2 as quickly as possible and harassing out the other lane. This happens at all levels of play. It's going to continue to happen until the meta shifts to a slower play style. I don't really understand why junglers are upset about this part of it because of point B...

B.) You're not going to make it across the map to get this camp before the time it would have respawned from bot/top taking it anyway. Not unless you completely ignore taking a buff before 4 minutes and unless you're playing a hyper sustain jungler you're going to B to grab your jungle item. Guess what? Your camp is going to be up again by the time you get back to it AND you will have helped your laners without doing anything.

how about u guys learn to jungle alone lol

Poro Support12/11/2014, 3:50:41 PM1 votes

I'd rather just take your Krugs and hit level 2 before heading to lane. You will then have the ultimate thank you from Bot lane.
