Why is everyone saying Mellee Champs are UP because of Kallista?

I will say this much, before I begin: I do believe the Spear of Vengeance does need some toning down, but she's not a CC train.

Let's take an example of tristana: She literally jumps farther in a chase than a few of Kalista's short hops. What about Ezreal? Blink away. Quinn? Bounce off the enemy Melee while blinding them. Twitch? Stealth to safety, even during recall. It all depends on you as a PLAYER! You need to look at why you can't catch her. Heck, if she's fed, build a thornmail! I don't see how this one little hop can somehow every CC in this game.

There are even a few spots she can short-hop over a wall, but they're far and few, and not useful in a teamfight. I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but please, tell me how "hard" she is to catch when you put a vi. sejuani, leona, or hell even an akali onto her? Play those sticky assassins, that's how you'll kill her! :P

Nobody ever said she was a CC train, and anybody that ever did doesn't know what they're talking about and need some education on her abilities. But honestly, there isn't a single thing in her kit that doesn't say "Lol, what's a Melee champion?"

It's too much. To have a champion with as much damage potential as hers and be able to kite Melee's so very easily is absurdly stupid and needs to be toned down.

Also, you're acting as if Ezreal and Quinn can use a jump like theirs after every auto attack. Think of Ezreal doing an auto attack, and then blinking away over a wall, then auto attacking again, then blinking over another wall: That's what Kalista does.

Varus, and vayne: Key examples of ADC's who can deal equal amounts (if not more) damage with stacks. :P Kalista's e hits hard, but only if you get to attack freely. She has no CC, and a killable ward every 30 seconds. Her ultimate deals no damage, which is a HUGE his in her kit's damage, but makes up for its utility (which is still limited.) She's not anti-melee, but she is an anti-melee if the champ has NO CC.

Maybe because they need to learn how to chase her?

I'm sick of everyone saying adcs take no skill. Kiting/dodging/positioning is skill, and adcs do it best. This just proves it. Kalista makes the melee "kite" her rather than the other way around. It's your turn to attack then start running as soon as you can end the animation and keep up with kalista. The fact that you can't lead/pre-kite her just shows that you have no idea how to kite or position well. You just depend on the extra power in a melee kit to win you fights instead of your own skill.

Really how hard is it to click kalista, click towards her path to safety, watch her dash to right in front of you and repeat? Just pre-kite her, I.e. Learn a skill adcs had to master ages ago.

THANK YOU! This is my point exactly! She can be killed, it's just not as easy.

Yeah, she can't do much against Akali

Yet people act like she's game-breaking. She really isn't, she's like any other AD; a powerhouse if fed, a dead leg if abused in lane. :P

Unless Trist is hopping over a wall, I can still chase her down Unless Ezreal is blinking over a wall, I can still chase him down too Unless Quinn vaults over a wall, I can still chase her down Twitch... idk fuq Twitch, maybe if i had a pink ward maybe it's cuz all the melee champs I play are fast as fuq

its all bout abusing cooldowns

however kalistas "short hop" doesnt really have a cooldown you need like abuncha hard cc or high burst damage

cuz after you spend YOUR gap closer, they can now abuse YOUR cooldowns and kite you all day erryday

most wall hops arent useful in team fights anyway

also people will also be peeling for the already very mobile adc that gets an even greater dash if dashing away from danger lmao

Quinn's vault doesn't blind, it's her q that blinds. Twitch being able to recall while in stealth doesn't seem fair to me, does it last long enough for him to actually get back to base though? Haven't got to play her yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it works.

Quinn's e gives you leeway to fade away with a q as you hop, so usually you can land a blind after you vault, if not as they get to you. But yeah, twitch's stealth usually lasts long enough at later ranks to stealth through a recall.

Because you can't stick to something that dashes every AA?

How is that remotely similar to Ez
