Greivious wounds only effects "self heals" its is pretty agitating that the only way I can stop rak's annoying heals is only by killing her which is only possible if Im playing a assassin or bush wookie as a mage

The whole point of Grievous Wounds was to shut down people with ridiculous life steal. Not to stop people who heal others.
