Ariel the Cruel1 votesI didn't say he was, strictly. Vastaya are characterized and humanoid animals. Swain turns into a humanoid-ish bird-demon-thing. Which puts him closer than Nidalee who goes 100% human or 100% animal with no in-between.
Although Rakan (or xayah?) has a Swain interaction suggesting the bird things came from them. (>_>)
General Theritt2 votesThe big piece riot addressed and has said is true is that Swain was likely given a Vastayan blood transfusion. This would make sense, because considering his bird form is only temporary, rather than the Vastaya who can hold a form for permanently, Swain can only release his "True form" when he channels his magical force to hold the form. Otherwise, he channels the power of his blood through his own bird, which probably got the same transfusion, meaning its like an outlet swain can use to channel his own form of Vastayan magic, like a conduit.

PeponiPoro1 votesWell, I guess I didn't realize they had officially recognized any champions as Vastaya apart from the two new ones and Ahri (from what's-his-name's journal). I guess if you are saying this based on their in-game interactions or if you've read the Q&A, which I've yet to do, then you certainly know more than me. I personally, though, interpreted the end of the journal, with the guy who turned in to a pig, as saying that those long descended from the Vastaya could shift between human and animal. Nidalee fits this description. However, I certainly can't say for sure that she is until her lore is updated.

Rakan and Xayah are half bird. Nami is half fish (and referred to as Vastayan) Ahri is half fox (and referred to as Vastayan)
So if a lore retcon happens, don't say I didn't warn you.
Terozu1 votesShyvanna got a lore retcon after the leak on Xayah and Rakan, I doubt she'd get reworked, then get reworked again a couple weeks later. She's not Vastayan, she's just half dragon. Wherein Vastayans are part human, part animal, and have been modified by magical spirits.

Terozu1 votesShe was full dragon but could turn human, now her father was a human, and her Mother a dragon, sure it didn't change her central identity like full scale Galio reworks, but they did change a lot. Same with Ezreal, Lux, and Garen, for instance Ez and Lux were essentially canon couple before, now they've literally never met. Demacia is racist against mages, etc and etc, a lot of stuff has changed.

Terozu1 votesThe inclient and web page lore aren't right anymore, it was all retconned, it still has old Galio, you need to go to the "Universe Page". http://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/
And yes her (dragon) father died; to her mother, Shyv's growing strength attracted her, and her father fought her off so Shyv could run, her Mother is one of the strongest dragons ever, she can't get vengaence yet, and when she and Jarvan met, they managed to drive her away, but not kill her.

Terozu1 votesLiterally the only reason Ash hasn't died is because he saw Ho-oH at the start of his journey, they're extremely competent, any plan that doesn't have Ash nearby works perfectly, just look at Black and White, the one season where they don't give a fuck about Ash for a while, THEY NEARLY TAKE OVER THE WORLD, literally the only reason they lose is Ash again.
