Mana Management

So mages have to manage their mana while everyone else gets items that allow them to sustain while dealing damage?

Seems blatantly unfair. ADC's get ER and Lifesteal. Tanks get health regen, and most assassins get energy back or have no resource at all.

Why do mage players have to suffer eh?

Zed and Akali are the only assassins who use Energy. Every other assassin besides Rengar uses mana, and he's not exactly a midlaner. Neither is Akali, if we're being honest.

yasuo is an assassin last time I checked

What a dark time we live in when akali isn't a midlaner anymore.

ViashinoWizard1 votes

She hasn't gone midlane in a long time, sad to say.

And despite what Riot says, Yasuo is a light fighter, not an assassin.

Except he can assassinate pretty easily because crits give him some burst.

Does that make Tryndamere an assassin then?

katarina

ViashinoWizard1 votes

Okay, Kat too if we're pretending she's still relevant.

she definitely still is relevent, as long as thevmatch up is not terrible for her, she can still do kat things.

This is completely unrelated and I love it.

That's been a thing among supports, as well as a popular complaint.

Watching mages talking about it is just so cute.

More like "Beta Male" Betas can't handle shit like change and improvement.

I think the real fear is the dash item (they changed the name i think i don't remember it). Lack of mobility in any form is a big part of balancing many immobile mages. Just look at Annie . summoner 4 makes Annie 100x as dangerous as it removes the mobility gate on stun tibber's power. The ability to purchase another dash makes her even more deadly with increased availability of mobility, and on top of that the dash deals damage? Annie already 100 -> 0 all lifeforms. Xerath Ziggs are the poster children of "gated by mobility". Unlike mana, mobility is not easily itemized for them and often sub-optimal. Xerath has the peel to keep most off him, and the range to not need peel in the first place as his opponents cant get all that close. For Xerath to get a 2nd bailout through this item would make him immensely powerful and a true powerhouse beyond belief. Ziggs is in the same boat as Xerath , just to a much lesser degree. Actually, Ziggs is in such dire need of a buff atm it might NOT break him lol. But if Ziggs 's currently weak af ass got strong in-game, this item wold make him very, very difficult to shutdown. Ahri Ekko are already very very powerful picks, Ekko being much too strong atm. Ahri is given a 6th escape with this item on top of her dashes, flash, and her MS buff on q. An intelligent Ahri should be able to avoid dying more than twice a game with so much mobility at her disposal. Another dash will make her essentially immortal. Ekko has been borderline immortal since release, as an Ekko can slip out of the stickiest situations with 1 button. 40-45% cdr on Ekko lets you have a q out at all times (which slows) and a dash/blink up every 3 sec which makes you almost immortal without the redo button. God forbid Ekko has 40-45% cdr and TANK ITEMS.

giant mana pools and a handful of extra AP ratios tacked on with the hextech items in conjunction with Luden's and the only two masteries most mages will ever take (DFT or TLD) gives them a LOT of power they don't realize yet

not to mention build diversity is up by a huge amount, tanky, CDR heavy builds, AP heavy, lots of mana

losing infinite spammable spells is worth the gains
