Should Sion build Rylai's

item 3116

This item is really great on Sion because of the following:

  1. The 100 AP gives him better poke, more damaging shield, and a tougher shield
  2. The life is self-explanatory
  3. It gives his shield an AOE slow so that he can more readily land Q and E

Has anyone tried fitting this into the standard tank sion build? I'm thinking something like this:

Sion has 2 slows already (3 if you count his ultimate) and his AP scaling is just 40% on his W and E. I think it's a mediocre buy on him at best.

...why item 3078? It's a really expensive item, a bit too expensive to consider for tank builds if you ask me.

Sion has really high base ad. It gives CDR, life, mana, movement speed, and tons of damage. I usually will build either item 3025 or item 3078 as my damage item on Sion.

I usually build item 3022 or item 3053 if I want some more damage on Sion.

It works, but he doesn't really need the slow on spell proc.

item 3022 is a much better tanky item with a slow, especially since it has synergy with Glory in Death.
