Have Tank MR Items Become Forces of Nature?

Force of Nature, the removed magic resistance item, gave: -76 mr -40 health regen -8% movespeed and a unique passive granting health regen equal to 1.75% maximum health.

This item was removed for 2 reasons. One was because the stats didn't exactly go together too well and the other reason was it gave too much magic resistance in one item.

Our two current tank mr items are Spirit Visage and Banshees Veil. These items have been periodically buffed and now grant 70 magic resist per item. This is only 6 mr short of what Force of Nature brought to the table some time ago but Spirit Visage and Banshees also give hefty amounts of health which essentially multiplies the effectiveness of the resistances. Spirit Visage and Banshee's Veil's stats do work together better than the old FoN but they actually serve as better mr items than Force of Nature did. I wasn't around during the time however so am I missing something?

Things are different these days. From how I see it, they broke FON up over the course of a few seasons and put the stats into other items.

76 MR -> Spirit Visage and Banshees Veil 40 HP Regen -> Converted to % Base HP Regen -> Spirit Visage and Warmog's 8% Movespeed -> Dead Man's Plate passive 1.75% Max HP\sec -> Added combat timer -> Warmog's Passive

Spirit Visage and Banshee's Veil's stats do work together better than the old FoN

This is kind of correct, but also incorrect. If we are comparing, back then SV gave 200-300 hp, 20% increased healing and like 30 mr. No HP regen other than the increased healing. Banshee's gave HP, Mana and MR. Also like 30.

FoN was a bundle of stats, and was removed because they 'didnt synergize' with eachother, although today this item would be a must pick, mainly because of 76 MR WTF and the movespeed (movespeed creep), plus the 1.75% max hp/sec? Anyone who needs MR and HP regen could pick this and spirit visage up and become the unkillable MR tank.
