Up "Oh no Annie "'s post about using op.gg, in this later seasons it's just essential to use to your advantage.
You do have a positive KDA, so climbing is just the matter of time, as ELO system should work.[2.5 stays, 3+ climbs]
But you getting bad bots might very much be a couple reasons I experienced and can share here...
Since Riot never really care about individual players anymore, while busy focusing their world wide influence and E-sport revenue, the community become worse every passing season.
Back in season 2~3, a kda of steady 3+ always gets out of that ELO real easy, I usually got to Plat under 100 rounds.
But that is because the game was balanced, all players are in their true ELO, so one person doing better can easily change the out come.
After seasons that Riot had their world announced success, not only a swarm of players joined, some players see cash grab opportunity when players play "ranked" for it's tier reward, and many started ELO-Boosting.
Main Reason: games are rarely balanced nowadays
Elo boost and effect two type of unbalancing, for example;
1.suppose you are playing in mid-gold, but since many players pay boosters, and they mostly duo, you will have some high elo player stomping the game, you can be on either side, strange easy win or unfair difficulty. has RIOT done anything about it? nah not really, it will spend too much money and it's not effecting their revenue now.
2.once a player has their service done, meaning a bronze has been boosted to diamond, and they will start playing again while dropping tiers, chances are you are of course either in their team or not, and I think this is your situation, when you see someone goes 0/10 and still finding time to type excuses rather than focusing, it's mostly those post-boosted players telling you that they were diamond and you need to shut up.
3.since bots consist of potential dps in team fight and to push for first tower and later buildings, two kills of gold and exp, it's only natural a higher tier elo-booster will decide to begin their attacks there.
4.boosted players have many reasons to play bot, they are not comfortable and incompetent to play any solo lane without making obvious result[feeding], so you might call it a false sense of security of two players in lane might give them an edge. plus most low-elo minds thinks dps is the only way to win the game, while sadly that's why they stuck in the low-elo.
[up on these facts from experience, the games that use ELO method will need more numbers than usual to determined an individual's place, since games were rarely balanced with honest elo players][I used to get out of gold under 100 rounds, now I need 250+]
Riot's response to this issue:
last time I played, I see roughly 60% in game Elo-boosters posting their ads after a stomping round, they boost from bronze to high Platinum, since most players only boost to diamond, and no amount of report, screenshot, op.gg records could convince Riot support to look into any case, and start banning boosters or boosted accounts, so you naturally sees them everywhere and increasing. Gets paid $10~$20 a round to stomp low elo players, with no real consequence to face, and encouraged by newly developed simple rune system[meaning no account need to grind for runes to start boosting].
Then I guess it's just time to let go.
I have been with League since their beta, but stopped completely around 2017, I have stick up to their game direction changes that stopped being innovative and fun, forced to play in a competitive style, but their player management has became worse then I originally imagined.
TLDR
What you have experienced here, is simply poor player management resulting false ELO in most games, and thus, you either use op.gg and figure out how to avoid Elo-booster or boosted.
Tip[and it worked];
1: Dodge when you see you have team mate dropped more than one tier/5+ divisions[boosted], start to record names and separate them in different brackets, so you'll know when you see someone you've played with.
2:dodge when you were in queue and someone dodged/left the queue, and other 9 players including you restarted the queue, that means someone "saw" the unstable players and decided to dodge, and you are currently queued with said player, chances are they will be your team mate.
3:have down time after each Ranked, first you will have time to rest, 2nd you can reflect and study the detail, last but not the least, if you encounter strange players[booster-boosted], they won't be queued with you again if they kept going.
P.S
For me personally I don't mind playing ranked to grind true ELO, yes I have the time, yes I love games that gives a challenge.
But what bug me the most is the way RIOT treats the obvious situation, they turned their eyes towards team based competition event revenue rather than making effort to improve individual player experience such like you and me.
But then it's an extraordinary free game, that I rarely pay anything for it, so I guess I shouldn't ask soo much haha
