On one side, he's probably going to be overplayed and possibly frustrating for the first patch.

But, like the patch notes said, he'll be easier to balance in the future if he has at least a few core items and isn't building ADC or bruiser items anymore.

Riot has always referred to him as a healthy assassin. I honestly think he's a better champion design than assassins like Leblanc Akali Fizz Rengar

Yes he will be overplayed, but that means there will also be many a bad zed playing the game :D easy crushing victory in mid lane

I suppose he shouldnt be using bruiser items, but BC will always be built on Zed as it just synergizes too damn well with him

For a bit i will just playing ADCs who can survive getting a QSS early, and avoiding mid that cant deal with assassins well... course i'm a support main so likely wont have to deal with him to much.

Welcome to the world of enlightenment.

Zed is the healthiest assassin in the game. People just hate the assassin class in general and Zed is the only one who is seeing widespread play due to early game meta and ADC's in midlane. Having any of the other assassins strong is 10x worse.

Yup when Akali was strong she snowballed out of control with 1 Kill, When Fizz was strong he pushed Q/W and did like 1800 damage and just e'd away. When Leblanc was strong she took away 2/3rds of your hp at level 3 and silenced you. Don't even get me started on Rengar Riot can't seem to find a viable fix for him.

I actually was messing around with the item in a custom with my friend and it's really not that bad. I completely overreacted initially to the news of it. I totally agree with you tho, zed's not broken, and this new item is just gonna make him somewhat stronger, but not end up being on release cinderhulk.
