Exactly, so he also gets fantastic itemization, no mana gates, and better sustain. ^^ Really, Ahri was just a healthy version of Zed. Poke, wave clear, assassination, safe escape. Maybe they thought Ahri was infringing on Zed's place as king of mid lane.

Ahri was essentially Blitz except she had no need for a team to do the follow up kill damage after the hook.

Zed doesnt have hard cc that locks you in and prevents you from doing anything while she instakills u.

and that hard CC is a first hit skill shot with slow missile speed. and oh yeah, QSS gives MR not armor.
