When is MF getting looked at?

and what is going to happen to her? Personally I think she is stronger than many in this board have given her credit for however, she still needs some help, imo most namely her ult and I still personally find her E worthless. The ult just doesn't do enough damage past the very early levels (although i do love it applies impure shots to everyone) and it just feels rather lack luster. Sometimes (lots of times) it's not even worth using despite the W interaction later in the game.

The E...well......>_> I don't think I need to explain why the E needs work..It's a nice slow I guess but..it's surprisingly short range to be useful, it does next to no damage, it's scaling is laughable and all around provides very little to no benefit outside of some rather rare situations..On the bright side Q and W are awesome though :D and I still enjoy the passive..

What you guys think? What would you like to see done to our dear fortune and hopefully (maybe) riot will feel like dropping a small hello for once...because it would be nice to hear some actual news on her.

.....You realize she just got a small update? Last I heard they were still going to make some visual changes but they just gave her some changes.

Yeah just a small update that still hasn't let her become a viable pick in pretty much anything above gold Elo. Now maybe it's just me but I like to look at quality, not quantity. I mean Azir just got a small nerf patch before last. Didn't stop them from doing it again, did it?

Valid point. Now maybe it's just me but

sounds like you're saying Riot hasn't done anything for her at all. Which simply isn't the case. Now the question of whether they have done enough is a valid question but that wasn't how it was framed.

Rather they have done anything vs something extremely small is irrelevant to me because it hasn't actually done anything for her. It's barely changed her, barely boosted her viability and for sure hasn't fixed her, so yeah I really don't think they've done much of anything for her. Also, I worded it that way because it's true: I can't remember the last time any rioter has commented on MF's balance vs the other ADC. I mean while the visual change I read about sounds nice, it's hardly the issue at hand.

Honestly, I don't want to be here arguing semantics all day with G&B. It's about the equivalent of arguing who has the best wifeu on GD. I just want some actual attention and some kind of information on any possible game plans for one of my personal favorite characters, because I feel she is underloved by riot at the moment and she deserves better. Just my opinion, granted. But it's mine to give all the same.

She's still getting more changes, and they're going to be significantly larger than the recent work (mainly because the recent work didn't actually do anything that mattered). Meddler gave a tentative date of this preseason for when her new changes would come out. Someone (Scruffy I think, maybe Meddler) said that the goal was improving her ultimate and possibly shifting her to having more of a "run and gun" kind of feel.

Thanks for the info :) looking forward to it. I'm just glad to hear some good news.

You're only looking at her ad build. AP build she has been consistently strong before and after the work, though the loss of GW stung early game. Morello's was always core build on her for me, so it wasn't a huge loss on her. Her E has insane wave clear. Early on, no one respects what her E can do and is a safe trade.

Overall I hope that if they tinker with her more they just don't mess up her AP side. It's extremely fun and quite damaging. Ulting a group enemy team on full or near full AP build is quite satisfying in team fights.

Even on AD MF, her E can be very annoying. Just played against a MF that maxed E first and the slow was very crippling and made it easy for her/thresh to engage on me. The damage wasn't bad at later ranks early game either.

CertainlyT made a post about working on her ult a few days ago.

Let that sink in. Fucking CertainlyT is working on Miss Fortune.

Remember the other two bot lane carries he was involved with? Kalista is the most cancerous thing in the game, and Mordekaiser three shots absolutely everything with his Q.

Rest assured, she'll be viable.

oooo...this is happy news indeed. Although I agree everything he does ends up overtuned I adore the ideas and general designs behind CertainlyT's champs and reworks xD. So it should be enjoyable none the less. Thank you for the info :)

His original designs were pretty cool and generally overpowered but good.

His more recent ones, like Yasuo and Kalista, are some of the worst designed things in the game IMO.

I personally disagree I think both of there designs are fine. Yasuo (Despite GnB's obvious hate train) is rather balanced and does what he's supposed to. Kalista I feel is just overdone with her Rend but other than that I don't think she is badly designed. Her linking mechanic is fun and I find the hop n skip pretty neat, interesting and gives an actual mechanic for players to get good with. Now, I'm not a Kalista fan myself, can't stand playing her. Still think she is neat.

Knowing that a terrible designer like CertainlyT working on my main is a bit unnerving. He clearly has no sense of balance, and makes a champion with virtually no glaring weaknesses since the their only weaknesses, not that they have many to begin with, are negated by their own kit. People say he's the best designer sometimes for his champion's uniqueness, but because he can give someone everything in the game but a heal doesn't make the unique, just overloaded and cancer to fight.

No idea how he's still in Riot, after all of these champions he's made and even champions he's just helped on turned out to be EXTREMELY overpowered and even game breaking, and now he's going to break Miss Fortune back to her old overpowered state when she was released.

I don't understand why people think CertainlyT is working on it- several posts earlier stated that Statikk is-

Edit: Sure, 2 or more are probably working on it but I think they mentioned Statikk as the main person behind it all. But maybe Cert is just helping out with stuff

{quoted}

Yes. Statikk's on it, but we don't have anything ready to talk about just yet.

{quoted}

Those are still happening, just not before worlds.Statikk (dude working on them) is making sure that they will have a real positive effect on making MF fun and relevant again. We don't wanna rush out something that isn't going to work.

Ideally when it's all done, some long standing complaints about her ult scaling and overall purpose as a character will be solved. MF's signature moves right now just aren't packing the punch that they should so we hope to fix that.

Miss Fortune does seem to be weak compared to all ADCs. I saw a Diamond player saying to wait for her next rework since she is bad now.

Eh, I wouldn't call her bad just weak. She is in a place where you can make her work and she can have a pretty strong late and early game, however the problem is really the effort behind it compared to other ADCs. Pretty much everything you can currently do with her, you can do about x2 easier on someone like Kalista or Corki for example. It's why she can (and has) been used in plat/diamond games and even won in them as well but isn't picked often.

She CAN work, but why put forth the extra work for similar and at times some what worse results? Like i said previously the biggest thing holding her back in my eyes is her ult, because past level ten she really doesn't have one. On one hand it applies her W which is EXTREMELY useful and neat because the W does some pretty serious damage once stacked up. But the thing is, late game attack speed does it just as well..along with your normal AA damage.

and your ult's damage is laughable past the aforementioned point so it really comes down to you not having an ult. As for the E, it does shit damage we can all agree..but the slow is actually useful imo for kiting. I just wish the cast range was a little bit longer so you could use it for chasing a bit more effectively. But as I am told, her ult is getting a look at from CertainlyT so I've no doubts that issue will be resolved in time now.

She just needs some love is all, not an entire rework.

I think her Passive, E and R need to be looked at. Might as well go with a full rework. I still play Miss Fortune in normals but stopped playing her in Ranked. Also, I really like her Visual Update.

I think her passive is fine o_o Not the best in the game by any stretch but 70 movement speed is a lot of mobility.

Chaosneobreakage1 votes

Sure. I like it too when I start at the Base and when I get to lane. It pretty much stops there. Maybe if she had the AA range of Caitlyn it would actually be useful in lane.

Riot's opinion on her

{quoted}

When we first started talking about MF and what we might want to do for her, we had all these ideas, and Scruffy stepped in and just said "Guys, seriously, just double her ult's damage and go from there."

Now, Statikk didn't do exactly that, but it at least gives an idea of where our heads are at with her.

The Bilgewater event stuff we did for her was very low scope and more aimed at touching her up a bit than giving/enhancing her cool and unique >gameplay elements.

Basically, it just wasn't in the cards for us to do more for her at the time. Really want to focus on hitting her identity as some kind of run-and-gun aoe marksman as far as I know, but that's about all I know for now.
