Crowd control is effectively ruining this game
The level of crowd control in this game is obnoxious. From
's fear to
's polymorphism, it's all so incredibly frustrating. Crowd control was meant to rain in some of the more mobile champions, but it's going to far. Instead of using crowd control in a skilled way, it has basically become a shoot random trap, get lucky, pop you opponent type tactic, such as with
's aoe.
can basically stun you and it lasts long enough for him to cast and hit you with his entire kit. That's absurd. I don't know why the idiots at riot think it's okay for all of these to be spammable on top of being a hideous crutch for players as well. Like It just insights bad players to dominate more than those with mechanical skill. No it doesn't take skill to land a locked on crowd control move. I would rather get trashed by someone more mechanically superior and learn from it than play against someone who spams cc and pops me a second after im stunned or rooted.
The items against crowd control are so limiting and circumstantial it's really stupid.
Is a melee item, meaning someone has to give up a space as a mage for this shit. It is a one time use item, meaning you get stunned, use it, get stunned again, which happens a shit ton as chained cc is a huge problem, and you're back to being stunned. it's basically worthless for a good deal of the champion pool.
Has 35% tenacity, do you know what a max of 35% tenacity adds up too? It's an ass item. The only item in game giving tenacity and it's not even enough to lower the levels of cc to any useful levels.
I'm not going to go through every item, but basically to build any of them it's circumstantial, you won't be building many of them until much later in the game, and they aren't useful for many champions. It feel incredibly bad when all the enemy has to do is keep spamming slows, stuns, roots, traps, snares, etc etc. to basically counter all mechanical skill. CC was meant to be used conditionally, not as a crutch for players who can't compete with mechanically superior players. That's the whole problem with this game, riot catering to weaker players by supplementing skill with cheap tactic.
also deal with cc in some way, but they are either too situational, or unpopular that nobody gets them for cc match ups. cc's also a problem because if you aren't moving around to dodge, and something lands you just about die
