Too much Damage in the Game for Tanks (other than maokai) to be Effective
I'm tired of people complain how "OP" tanks are, then citing only Poppy, Maokai, and the occasional Malphite. Those are literally the only tanks that anyone mentions about "Oh god they do so much damage and are so broken; I hate [all] Tanks." If you have played any Top lane tank in the last three patches that is not one of those three champs, good luck. I play nothing but Tanks, and I enjoy being trying to be unkillable. But as a tank player, I have felt almost completely worthless, and have to play an absolute perfect game in order to do anything. The damage creep has been ridiculous over the last how many patches. The about of BS damage that is now floating around. The amount of True damage is insane, Garen, Darius, Olaf, Camille, Fiora, Irelia, Cho, Yi, who all have heals on top of it. You throw in the cheap as hell Black Cleaver that completely negates a Tank's first armor item, throw in some Lethality and now your two items down. Plus half of those champs get tankier than I do without building any of the items. Bruisers are arguably better at Tanking than what Tanks are. The only way to play a Tank top lane is to get lucky enough to face another Tank, because going even with a damage top laner isn't enough, they will always out-scale you, and their items directly counter every one of yours if you are even lucky enough to go even and not fall behind to the lane bullies.
As a Tank player I am sick of feeling that at no point in the game can I stand next to another champion. I don't feel like I scale at all, with the amount of penetration (Black Cleaver, 3 BS Lethality items, % Pen, and base pen in Champion kits) and just pure damage that is floating around in the game. And if you think I am wrong, why do you suppose that Tank Jungles are garbage? because with less gold and slowish clears you definitely don't stand a chance to tank any damage.
The game has literally become who can burst the other team faster. And may have to take a break from how frustrating it has become to play my favorite role.
