You know why people want tanks to be good?

Because if tanks are good then they dont need any particular skill!!

Now let me explain before you start raging!

Tell me where is the skill when someone pick naut build sunfire and proccess to walk in str8 line and AA someone or ulti him? where? that why people want to tanks to be relevant because when tanks are good people that have no idea about the skill climb the ladder

I mean when maokai stoped being a bread dead champion i saw people from "master tier" all the way down to diamond 4 why? because they couldnt abuse a tank any more and now they needed to play some more skillful champion

"But who is a champion with skills dude lee?" now i use lee because people cry about him in forums for their reasons now lets compare lee with maokai

LEE everything is around his skillshots and how he would use them

Maokai is around nothing just walking in and hope that his team would have enough damage to carry him...

so how is that a skillful play? i am not say lee is hard to play but sure as hell is harder to play than a maokai or malphite or sejuani or zac or what ever tank that pretty much take no skill because you literally do nothing you pretty much walk in a str8 line or use one ability that most of the time is point and click or it cover massive area so minions or anything else dosent block it and you use it and you say you deserve to climb?

So no tanks dont need to be good you know what is need to be good? items items that can counter the massive DPS from an ADC so bruisers or mages or assasins can build them

"But what ADCs are supposed to deal damage" yeah they are but they need counter because tehy deal that damage from 600 range and more

so that what the game need i dont need a maokai to just run down and never dies because base stats and damage and stupidity

riot need to create items that counter criticals dps and stuff like that but more bruiser assasin oriental not for tanks

"But the game need tanks to surviver" yeah well it may need tanks but name on healthy tank that wasent abused some point of the game because of how stupid it was to carry a game

"Yeah but talon was broken when lethality" Yeah talon was broken but he needed to micro manage everything in order to kill someone get out alive not get cced farm and win his lane and so on

What the tank did? just build sunfire and taht it? or ZZ portal back in the days? or cinderhulk? that the difference

Plus like i say i see assasins i see adc i see mage i see jungler mains in master tier that never drop But you know what i see? tank "mains" that always drop divison because simple just abuse a tank and use 0 skill to climb!!

Case close

Uh, yeah, when being a tank in a teamfight doesn't necessitate making quick decisions about who I need to be peeling based on threat level and necessity to winning the team fight, you can tell me it doesn't take skill to play my champs. They might not have the most complex kits, but tanks have skill caps all their own. Put me against a first time Sion player, and I'll stomp him (unless it's Faker or something).

Tank mechanics themselves aren't the hardest in the world, but tanking is one of the hardest things to do in this game. You have to peel for your allies, (No, peeling isn't just the support's job. Ever wonder why tanks have so much cc?) distract enemies, know how much damage you can even take and know who's gonna mess you up the most - the Cassiopeia or Vayne? When to get kited, know how far you can be away form your team for them to follow up, when to even engage instead of losing to the team with the ocean drake when your team is doing that thing where they walk around and slowly get poked down. Their builds aren't straightforward at all and change from game to game. You have to predict what X champ is going to build so you can prepare for it and still be effective when they complete that item.

If I have to set up a kill on that lee sin with his 1001 jumps when i have 1 dash on a high cooldown and a slow as fuck base MS, and have him die rather than trololol my entire team for however long he wants, that takes skill.

lol at all the downvotes. Is this not accurate? I purposely go tank top for games I just don't want to try in. You literally go unpunished for any mistake you make and your sole purpose is to be a damage sponge. I'm not saying there shouldn't be tanks, but I feel like they're already strong as it is.

Lol ok lane as a tank into Fiora, or pantheon, or Quinn and tell me that you can make a mistake and not get punished, lol

I'm talking about late game. It's easy in lane just play safe

Still if you engage too early or on the wrong target or without your team close enough, even a full build Nautilus will die quicker than you make it sound, so long as you comp has an ad that scales even semi ok and a mid laner who bought magic pen. It really isn't as obnoxious as you're making it sound. The most fed tanks come late game will never be able to 1v5 like you are making it out to sound. Sure perhaps in the mid game if a Nautilus gets real fed he can 1v5 25 minutes, but that's before and if the carries have scaled up and, let's be real, it's takes a tank being a hell of a lot more fed to do such a thing than some of the pubstomping assassins/bruisers. Why should those champs be allowed to do that if fed but not a tank?

Protip: If you want to assert something like, "X takes no skill." Wait until after you've made your explanation. That way people will be forced to understand your point instead of stopping after the first sentence and downvoting you to oblivion.
