Oh you win alot and you have a good % win ratio? Here in riot we have solution!

1995 2017RiP Eva··95 votes·6,835 views

Let us give you the worst players in the game in order to lose you gotta be 50% win ratio boy anything higher than that its trigger us!

"But dude if you lose its just that you play with better players dude that why you lose you just got higher in MMR " (Some random person would say)

So i was like maybe they are right so let me check their OP.gg to see what is going

My team -100 MMR than me 1 division lower than me their match history full with negative scores and defeat ....ok i guess the enemy team would be the same... NOPE

Enemy team same MMR as ME! not my team! everyone normal games in their match history

So its pretty much obvious that riot give you lower players than your self and enemies that is in your elo in order to make it no possible to win

So my question here is why? why i get the players that are lower than me when i am on winning streak? and the enemy team is on my lvl? why is that system exist?

But to be fair that happen in the opposite...if you have a losing streak you will get the exact opposite....

Wtf is that system riot? i dont really get it why it exist and not this is not illuminati stuff i mean we have OP..GG to check the enemies and our team..we see that the matches are unfair WTH riot?

How do you know this? You're making assumptions about something you have no clue how it works. It could very well be that OP.GG is making wrong calculations but it does so for everyone. This doesn't mean that it's accurate in the sense that's consistently wrong for everyone. My point is that you can't say it's garbage.

TEA Nietzsche 1 votes

Lmao, he doesn't have to prove that it's garbage, op.gg would have to prove that it is not. The official MMR calculation is not public so your op.gg MMR is worthless for any argument. Just take a look at which elo you are regularly getting matched against and you know what's up. OP has a pretty decent MMR and is generally playing with better players but he can't really keep up so he loses games and his MMR will drop. End of story.

A claim, negative or positive, requires the support of facts.

If you say that op.gg is garbage, the burden of proof is on you.

If you say it is great, the burden of proof is on you.

If everything was by your logic i could simply say "Your comment is garbage, everyone ignore this until he proves that his comment is not garbage" Which is just silly.

doesn't change the part where you get people who are tilting on losing streaks in your team when you hit a win streak though.

have you ever played on a main account that wasn't yours and is significantly lower elo than you should be? if you go on a win streak on that you will notice that you start getting people on losing streaks on your team. now have you also ever seen someone that bought their account which is at much higher elo than they should be? when they go on a losing streak they will start getting people who are on winning streaks on their team.

"i have a smurf" is not what i asked since smurfs are treated very differently by the matchmaking than main accounts, i like the 6% statistic but if you don't have any numbers to back that up i won't believe it as from my experience the amount is much higher, nor did i say they match you only with players from losing streaks you start off by getting 1 or 2 and if you manage to somehow carry those you will get a few more.

since you like math i will give you some my self, assuming that players are at their skill level they should statistically have a 50% chance to win their games, right? well we have all had 10ish win streaks in the past and the statistical chance of that happening is 0,09% which implies this phenomenon would take place about every 11111 games, have you ever played 11111 games? no? neither have i but i have had 10 games win streaks before and i bet you have also. implying that these win streaks happen naturally is pretty much statistically impossible but hey we can continue talking about math trying to prove that the match making isn't rigged towards creating win and loss streaks.

oh yeah but first you climb to your elo on a win streak, then you get a losing streak due to it and the cycle keeps repeating it self. at least that's how it always was for me.

if you start from bellow your actual elo you will obviously win a lot of games with a decent possibility of a high win streak, at that point it puts the bad players on your team causing a losing streak which afterwards gives you better teams due to a losing streak.

i wish i had a picture to show you of my elo chart from season 5 when i was moving between gold 2 and d4 MMR daily due to losing and winning streaks back to back.

even right now i have two win streaks of 7 and a win streak of 5 in the which the 7s have a 0,8% chance of happening each and the 5 has a 3% chance of happening statistically. with between them being 2 loss streaks of 4.

if i had to make an assumtion here it would be based on the amount of elo gained over a certain period of time so not necessarily win streaks but "climbing too quickly" which then causes riot to test you on how hard you can carry.

sure i can't give you exact math that will prove that this is how the matchmaking works but neither can you say that the win / loss streaks people get are statistically possible in a non rigged matchmaking system. i mean there is a astronomically low chance that i just kept getting lucky and unlucky ... all the time but similar phenomenons have been happening to other people so it really is quite impossible for the matchmaking to just do what you claim it to do.

it doesn't ensure a certain amount of wins and losses it gives you progressively worse team mates the higher your win streak is causing different people to have streaks of different lengths.

also you can keep telling me that its impossible for a system to enforce win and loss streaks while i keep telling you that its impossible to explain the streaks people have without sucha system in place.

essentially i can't give you a "if you win 5 games in a row the matchmaking completely and utterly forces you to lose your next 4 games" since that is indeed impossible but it is obvious that the match making is rigged towards creating streaks as otherwise the streaks people have would be statistically impossible.

the matchmaking finds 10 players for a match and it doesn't require any time to place 4 of the worse ones on your team and the rest on the enemy team.

its more of a "oh shit this guy is climbing too fast lets make his chance of winning lower" rather than "oh lets give this guy literally only the people who are on 10 game losing streaks that clearly bought their accounts so its impossible for him to win games".

i don't see how giving someone good teams and then later on bad ones would make them going on win and loss streaks any less likely.

the model focuses on all 10 players not just the one as it tries to make the game to have an equal chance of winning for both sides so they give the "best" player in the game the worse team and the "better" the player is the worse their team gets.

also the elo of all the players is similiar the only difference is that the win streak player gets people that are on losing streak (the people on a losing streak were higher elo at the beginning of the streak causing them to be the same now).

ChargeItDownMid1 votes

it isn't 4 of the worst players with the best player, its worse players with the better player but regardless lets just drop that part and i will ask you how do you explain the statistically impossible win streaks with no system to enforce them?

ChargeItDownMid1 votes

okay so you are suggesting win streaks that have 0,04% chance of happening occur all the time without being statistically impossible. i don't know if you have ever heard of probability but i guess league is just full of people that are really really lucky and unlucky, could even say half of them get hit by lightning when they leave their home and then win a lottery without even buying a ticket.

the chance of you having 2 win streaks of 7 over the period of 50 games (which i currently have, not that this is the worst it has ever been) is 0,3% so this would mean you would have to take a shot at something 300 times before it happened so once every 1500 games.

sure i might be the luckiest / unluckiest player in the history of league of legends but this also happens to tons of other players and its not like i specifically picked out the time of now to have this argument this is just a random moment in my match history.

"but there are 100s of millions of games played daily" im sure there are and each persons match history probably proves how statistically impossible it is for the win streaks to take place.

i guess i will never convince you without riot releasing statistics to the public which they will never do due to it revealing shit like this so good riddance.

Lol it doesnt work like this. This is just the new "ELO hell" excuse.

It DOES

Eedat5 votes

It DOESN'T

I had a 66% win rate last season. I have a 62% win rate in soloQ this season. Never once have a noticed "OMG Riot trying to sabotague my win streak!"

Take off the tin foil hat dude

TEA Nietzsche 4 votes

No way it is my fault that I lose, that's just impossible. :((((

TEA Nietzsche 1 votes

Prove it. Go and source that shit, it doesn't. If you climb you will keep on climbing until you are just not good enough. I climbed and the climb has stopped now just because I don't deserve getting higher rn.

Moonfall Saber3 votes

I've been playing the game since season 2 and I highly believe that I deserve diamond plus. I'm not though I'm in platnum. I honestly believe that your hidden elo numbers keep you matched up with people to try and MAINTAIN that elo. Here's why. I have been kicked around from anywhere to bronze one to platnum one throughout my years of playing. Anytime I get dropped a division I have to play like 5 games and I basically auto gain a rank when I win one game. This is because my elo is higher than the players I am playing with. However this works in the opposite way as well. Say I'm gold 3 And trying to rank up but my elo is lower than gold 3. Riot will match me with a team to try to lower my rank so it matches my hidden elo. When your rank matches your hidden elo it becomes impossible to climb because every win makes your next game not in your favor due to how slow hidden elo actually goes up or down. So if you reach platnum 1 and you want to get into diamond but your hidden elo is platnum 3 your probably not going to get into diamond. Or if you do manage to get into diamond you better hope you get a lucky streak of games so you don't get demoted..

Yeah, its pretty odd that the boards have suddenly been circle jerking over this non existent issue this season.

Eedat12 votes

Yeah the boards NEVER do that

KVbqbFsC8e3 votes

Nobody was complaining about this previously. For some reason this season people suddenly think that everytime they get garbage teammates, its because they are on a win streak.

I'd actually be quite content if I only got garb teammates after going on a winstreak.

KVbqbFsC8e1 votes

Thats nothing compared to the daily threads we have now.

TEA Nietzsche 2 votes

Excuse me, I am not going to paste you every single thread that has been created since this games existence.

Fact is: this is in no way a new complaint and it's still flawed in it's base premise: why tf would Riot do that. Inb4 "to make your winrate go 50%" - yes, that is what every system wants. But it doesn't need to handicap you by giving you a bad team and them pro players, all it needs to do is give you better players on both sides until you are just as good as everyone else. There is no reason for Riot to mess the system up and if they did boosters would be in trouble but boosting works just fine.

Dextix LT4 votes

Firstly, i dont think you know what circle jerk means.

Secondly, the boards and the forums have beeen going about this since from when i joined (The rengar patch), so yea.

Check your facts before bullshiting, thanks.
