Why are critical hits still in the game this offseason?
This is a question coming from someone who likes an element of chance or luck in a game.
Since this offseason, since ADCs were the main focus, why did riot leave critical hits which are mostly used by ADCs in the game? Why not add a D-cap for adcs so your squishy AD champs get + whatever percent of their attack damage as bonus on hit damage?
Look at the new ER. Now that it's a thing, ADC players are going to get it and IE together. That's 40% crit chance before you consider they are getting more from their zeal item. Riot doesn't really like randomness so they are putting crit values so high on items that you expect to get a ton of them. If the numbers were lower, then crits would be more random in the sense that one side might get a fight defining crit and the other doesn't. So everyone gets a lot of crits all the time.
With this in mind, why not use the ADC offseason to replace crits with something new that is less random?
