'Era of Tanks' caters to NOOBS.

What was one of the main complaints that people had about assassins and ADCs? It was that they didn't have to WORRY ABOUT POSITIONING. Now this was the logic that made me laugh; "Assassins and ADCs do not have to worry about positioning. They just roll their faces on the keyboard and they're safe, cause everyone's dead."

I totally disagree with this. Regardless of how fed an assassin/ADC is, they have to constantly be worried about positioning because will be focused.

Now lets look at the 'Era of Tanks'. They require zero strategy what-so-ever. They don't have to worry about positioning because they just have to be in the front. Their only job is to walk to their opposing team and stand in the middle. THIS REQUIRES SO MUCH SKILL, SO MUCH THOUGHT.

Please, let's not kid ourselves. This is the noobiest strategy ever, and Tanks shouldn't be so powerful that they don't have to worry about taking damage.

Assassins/ADCs get fed and they 3 shot everyone else while stealing back one sixth of their health bar in one AA.

Tanks/Bruisers get fed and they turn into raid bosses from WoW.

Both sides are capable of being overpowered or underpowered. It takes no more skill to land a skill shot while playing a tanky champion such as Sejuani than to land a skill shot while playing an assassin such as Zed.

I used to play exclusively high burst and DPS champions in League, but after playing some more durable champions, I would say they take around the same skill. Most tanks starts off with awesome innate abilities that lets them sit on carries; however, as the game progresses, offensive builds absolutely wrecks tank items as tanks get kited to death.

Damage champions start off difficult with low damage output and durability, but they become easier and stronger as they get items. Tank champions have a smoother start, but gets completely screwed over by offensive items such as BoTRK and LS later on.

it is a fair trade, but if I were to pick a side, I would rather have stronger assassins and marksmen. The main quarrel with strong tanks is that if so, everyone will play tanks and LoL will turn into a giant slap fight with no one ever dying past 30 minutes.

Its not like ADCs and Assassins are mobile nowadays if they get caught out of position... Oh nvm.

If a tank gets caught out of position, his escape is usually his engage (thinking of Malphite/Zac here). Just because you now have to actually think about who you focus to get different teamfight results doesn't mean a class deserves a nerf. Its about time those Graves and Jinxes start thinking twice about the consequences of auto-attacking a 300 armor Sejuani.

You could make everything sound stupidly simple the same you did with tanks, "just walk into the fight"

Honestly, the easiest role in teamfights are by far the assassins and AD carries, you literally wait for someone or your tank to initiate, then you jump into the fray once they're whittled down. Call it boring, but I've played tanks, assassins and ADC, but tanks by far have the most level of pressure in a team fight with when and how to initiate them, bad initiation, your team is boned, good initiation, your team wins. ADC love to act like they're the gods of the Rifts, but really, its laughable.

There's nothing boring about the game play, unless you of course enjoy right clicking a player once to kill them or face rolling as an assassin to kill an entire team, I'll take tanks and having to THINK about what its I'm doing as oppose to other roles, knowing how to initiate, get all 5 members of a team to focus on you long enough so your team can wipe them out and you can still live, significantly easier said than done.

I am pretty sure you still need to position in the era of tanks. They will lock you down and maybe kill you.

Yea cuz hitting A and clicking on the other side of the map and just melting everything on the way is such skill... ADC's were too strong because Tanks were too weak. Assassins were bursting Tanks the same they would an ADC. Now they actually need to think about who they are attacking and when or else the Tank is going to stop you. Sejuani is a bit too strong right now as she does soooo much damage as well as Tank a ton of damage. Other then that Tanks are in a good spot right now ADC's have been pushed back into where they should be, Assassins (other then LeBlanc...) can no longer kill the first thing that walks in front of them. All is how it should be. BTW if thats how you play Tanks then you are doing it wrong mate.

if thats the common perception of a tanks job, it explains why everyone thinks tanks are bad and fails on them...

Get pen it isn't hard to melt a tank, if the tank is the biggest problem to you get black cleaver and last whisper... gg problem solved.
