As a Hawaii player, should I start looking for a new game?

The average ping in Hawaii is 100-110. With the server moving to Chicago, going to expect that ping will jump to about 200... Well it was fun while it lasted

Whether or not you keep playing a game made by a company that tells you to go eat a dick is your judgement call.

I agree with you man. I just got into League a few months ago, usually around the 100 Ping tier. 90 on a good day.

And people don't seem to realize that just because OCE is closer doesn't mean it has better ping. I made an OCE account, had 200 ping.

Hopefully when they make the Japan server we can get a better connection there.

Or transfer to the Oceana server. Hawaii is geographically closer to the current Oceana server, than the west coast based NA server anyways. An incredibly small minority of players (read less than 0.0001%) shouldn't have the voting power to dictate a location change that positively effects the gaming experience of more than 25% (a VERY conservative estimate) of the gaming community.

sorry bro, but you're not that important.

I play from OCE and I currently get a stable 206 ping. With the changes I get 240 ping so obviously I'll be saying goodbye to my NA friends and striking out for the OCE servers.

Playing on 206 was possible, barely, I endured it to play with my friends. On a bad day the ping would be 216 which seems impossible to play on. If you really want to keep playing it is possible to adapt, just don't expect to be very good, I can't seem to get out of gold.

If you do decide to go there are plenty of alternatives around now with better server capabilities.
