Are Evelynn and Udyr good backup junglers for Shyvana?

Title.

Oddly enough, had Shy banned in a recent normal. I am okay at Vi. But otherwise have no backup. Would Udyr be one since her plays similar? Would Eve because she is se-... ahem, fun?

Udyr tends to have lower damage output but higher durability and mobility.

I would definitely recommend him as a replacement for Shyvana. Just make sure you are maxing Phoenix Stance for a similar playstyle.

Thank you! Phoenix it is. I thought it was Tiger :x because I am new to him. Literally only have one game as him, a sloppy ranked win. I panic picked him

Udyr has a lot of viable builds.

Tiger Stance is primarily for dueling and early snowballing while Phoenix Stance is for clear-speed and waveclearing. In addition, Phoenix Stance works far better with a defensive builds while Tiger Stance needs offensive items to really be worthwhile.

Generally, I would recommend something along the following lines as a "basic" setup if you are learning him.

Runes: MS Quints, Attack Speed Marks, Scaling Health Quints, Scaling MR Glyphs

Skill Order: RWRERR, R>W>E>Q

Masteries: 6/6/18 with Strength of the Ages

Item Build:

Also, make sure to keep your passive up when clearing. On the first clear, switch stances right when your passive is about to run out to refresh it. Try to keep it at three stacks when clearing for the extra attack speed.

I can't believe I forgot about them, but there are a few other viable options for replacing Shyvana. The best options would probably be:

Udyr DrMundo Olaf MasterYi

It can vary depending on which aspects of Shyvana you enjoyed, but they are all decent replacements..

Play Skarner

He's similar to shyvana that he also runs up to people and slowly but surely kills them with his high sustained damage threat. He also provides a ton of utility and gets really tanky

JK, didn't even think of Skarner to be honest. I have his earthen rune skin from way back in S2 when I played him... bot lane >.> My try him out in some normals.

Well, he's got the highest Jungle win rate but he's underplayed actually. He's not a very hard champion to play but he can be boring at times, and that's coming from someone who mains the guy in the jungle

Spires give you insane mana regen, MS and AS, makes you clear insanely fast.

Max Q->W->E

Item builds are very flexible but I prefer a Juggernaut build: item 1401 item 3078 item 3053 item 3742 +MR item YOu'll be tearing the enemy a new one with low cd Q's and sheen procs while also having a lot of CDR to spam your shield and stun

I actually feel Shyv is more like Bruiser Yi (unless you like playing him glass cannon which also works). A no-cc, farm dependant late game jungle carry.

Jax is an option too, if you want relatively durable champion who quickly gets rid of enemy squishies like Shyv. Jungle Jax plays pretty much the same as shyv, except for weaker early game.

she is a bit slow early but with the design of kit you can go full tank cinderhulk and be unkillable even if behind be useful in the game and a can gank from lvl 3 but she does hit a great team fight gank powerspike at lvl 6 with her ult... she is cc tank who can engage

amumu is similar...

trundle is a counter jungler who is good at dueling and great vs hard engage comps

if you wanna play amumu or sej

run attack speed reds, ap quinst, armor yellows and cdr blues

some run attack speed reds armor quints hp per lvl seals and cdr blues

trundle would be ad reds as quints armor yellows and cdr blues

If you got a need for speed you can't go wrong with Hecarim . And similar to Shyvana all you really want to do is run over the carry.

Well I'm assuming since you play Shyv you enjoy going fast and running people down in the streets like the degenerates they are, so I suggest Hecarim!

Evelyn's super fun and was a sleeper op before the meta changed to like a tank burst mage meta so she just get blown up and can't really deal damage. She's kind of a niche pick kind of like Shaco but not as much.

I think Evelynn would be slightly better.

She's in a good spot right now.
Can go AD or AP or tank. (AP is most common)
Like Shyvana, you have to know what you want to do with her to do well.
Junglers need at least 1 assassin they can play.
She's the last champ with a lot of build flexibility.

The only problem is evelynn is a champ you need about 50 games on until you are really good with. You really have to know how to make the most of how her passive works.
