Nunu needs a rework
Old champion 44% winrate 1% playrate, bland linear kit that can be abused. Seems like he fits all the criteria.

Very much so.
Nunu's win rate in his primary role (Jungle) is 48.2% in Platinum and up.
Really? Is his pick rate better?
Nope. 0.7%.
I think it is mainly the fact that a champion based on objective-control works better at higher ELOs. They are (typically) more likely to play for objectives rather than kills and are better at using their advantages appropriately.
Having allies who know when to take objectives and who know how to take advantage of the buffs/debuffs you offer makes a pretty big difference.

Even if you just get the scuttlecrabs and upgrade your jungle item to the one with wards, you can give a lot of extra vision to your team, and even at lower elo's the double smite is really handy. And with his high movementspeed and heavy slow he can gank pretty decently early in game.
My point is that higher-ELO players are more likely to make better use of his strengths.
They constantly check the mini-map so they are more likely to use the vision control you provide to their advantage (i.e. play safe when at risk, playing aggro when free to do so, rotate properly, etc)
Your ADC (and their protectors/enablers) are more likely to play competently, thus making Bloodboil more valuable.
Your allies are competent enough to handle a fight while you remove the enemies' ability to contribute (chain-slow a target, debuff them, tank their damage).
They are more likely to take/contest objectives at appropriate times and use the lead you build for the to help carry the game.
tl;dr He offers the same benefits at both ELOs, but more skilled players are both more likely and better able to take advantage of those benefits, resulting in a better performance at those ELOs.

If you snowball your lanes early and/or crush the enemy jungler, they know how to take advantage of that and not throw the lead you have built for them.

More skilled players are better at playing any champion. But Nunu is a very easy champion to start playing with so it's fun for newer players, but stil has more in-depth for more skilled players. I think he has a pretty fun design and I really don't want him to change.
Although If change anything then maybe bloodboil, they can change it into a bit more imaginative ability while not really affecting his playstyle.
He deff needs a lot of qol buffs and changes, also some insight to who Nunu is and why he has a yetti.
God no, I like Nunu the way he is. His kit seems simple but as a support-jungler you can have tons of control of the map and objectives on summoners rift.
