Let's see how many downvotes I get from this.

Why isn't her ultimate considered a channel? Has a windup time before firing, but can't be stopped. Why?

Its considered a cast animation, just like Ezreal has a cast animation on his ult. The only way to stop luxes ult is to kill her (might not work) or to use a movement displacing ability like Blitzes grab, though that will just move the ult to another place if it works.

I've charmed her and it didn't stop. Have also seen people kill her without it stopping.

Because it's an animation ult, if fizz ults you you can do whatever the hell you want to him, kill him, charm him, or stun him but his ult will still activate, and lux ult CAN be cancelled you just have to kill her the second she starts ulting

A lot of times it doesn't work, you have to kill her right as she starts the animation. Also ,charm makes the person move in a straight line, not like thresh or blitzcrank's hook
