"Nidalee shouldn't be able to clear fast and safely"

Ok, I get that, it's very agreeable. But now Riot has nerfed both Nidalee's ability to clear fast, and her ability to clear safely... I thought it would just be one or the other?

"Nidalee doesn't give you a chance to fight her on even terms" I get that too, except if you put a level 6 Nidalee against a level 6 Kha Zix, in a lane, with no minions - no level leads, no element of surprise, no item advantages - chances are she'll lose. Same against lee and most damage dealing junglers, actually. She'd probably beat the tanks, but that's it. Against the damage dealers though, the only way she wins is if the person playing her is significantly better, in which case it was never even, was it? In fact, a lot of champions can accomplish what Nidalee can with a lot less finesse and effort, so it wasn't never really even in the first place.

I get that she needed nerfing, as if you're good with her at higher elos you'll stomp. But how comes champions that are obnoxious at every elo get compensation buffs when nerfed?

Since her clear speed was nerfed (again) why couldn't a slow be placed on her traps (against monsters only) so that she can clear a little more safely. Not as safely as when they used to root, but still safer than when they didn't. Why was the reset nerfed against both jungle monsters AND champions? I thought this was about nerfing her clear and making it so she can't get ahead as consistently, not about nerfing her teamfight mechanics? The cooldown reset reduction will affect her battle potential heavily and there's absolutely no plus side to it. Kindred gets her Q damage nerfed, but it's okay - because it now scales harder than ever. Nidalee gets her pounce resets nerfed and...nothing. Just nothing.

I'm not some high elo god but I like playing Nidalee jungle. It's fun, it's challenging, it's different - I'm punished hard if I screw up and I feel great if I pull something good off, it gives those really strong highs and lows that makes Videogaming so addictive in the first place. But each nerf not only reduces the amount of things that I can aspire towards (Goodbye lost reset mechanics) but they also make it harder for me to perform as Nidalee at low elos at all. Higher elos will probably be capable of adjusting to this quite easily as most of them are clear gods, I on the other hand won't be able to. But at the same time they're probably disadvantaged by the removal of subtler mechanics...which I'll also be disadvantaged by too - not because I relied on them in my games, I'm not that good, but because I aspired to them - like in Street Fighter when you're trying to figure out all the little intracises and want it to be that one day you know them back and front.

No.

Here is why:

Every champion should have an accentuated and exploitable weakness. Nidalee's should be that while she's good at sieging, she's bad at being sieged. Therefore she should have a slow AND unsafe clear.

Also enemy champions should have a reasonable window of opportunity to fight back. An already low CD dash resetting itself is basically enemy champions only being able to fight nidalee within nidalee's burst.

Since Nidalee is one of those champions capable of being un-interactive while hounding you to infinity, her close range pattern should be made both riskier AND more necessary.

Because she's cancer, and the kindred nerfs were actually pretty major.
