Should junglers still be taxing?

So, i just had a cass midlaner rage at me cuz i tried to take 3 caster minions. Since she didnt let me get them, I stayed mid for 4 more waves, not getting a single cs, except for the cannons i smited to spite her...

anyway, it got me wondering, is Minion tax after a gank still a thing? I don't remember it changing, and i thought with the longer jg camp respawn times it would actually be a little necessary unless you could feely walk into the enemy jg to take camps. Not on every gank, of course, and not, like, entire waves, but, maybe 2-4 cs, especially if you didn't get a kill.

Don't tax it if they didn't mess the gank up and are still there. If they mess it all up, tax a little. If they died, farm it up.

No, see, i always thought that if you get the kill, don't tax, and if you get an assist, maybe only take a minion, then help them push the tower in, but don't take farm.

I thought you should tax more in a failed gank because the failed gank set you back and the tax would help make up for that. Can you clarify that?

Honestly, no one is going to care if you fall behind. The Jungler kinda becomes a glorified support. And most people will think that a slight delay in gold and items isn't going to affect your ability to gank.

The only way this could be an issue is if your playing Yi, or another skirmisher Jungler with the intent to hypercarry. And the trouble with those junglers is they lack the lock down to insure success, requiring more gank assist from their laners. That said, their isn't particularly a problem with holding the wave if the laner needs to back. And fast pushing also works if the damage is there.

When I get laners tilt with me "Taxing" I just grab a relic shield next time so they get the gold too. So a win-win situation and it inspires me to gank more to proc the gold stacks. So meh? Later on I sell the thing when I need the extra spot or what.

Not gonna waste gold on that. I already get less income as a jg, so i need to be smart with how i invest the gold i do get.

It's what I do. I have no problems with it since it makes up the gold spent for it anyways. It makes snatching the cannon minions easier.

If you're not going to 1v9 hard carry or you aren't just pushing to tower so the laner can back, then dont tax. they need it more than you.

I thought it was generally more of a question of whether it was appropriate to push the wave or not...

Not that I play jungle. So dafuq do I know?

If they died, or if they had to back, always push it, except for maybe if they have tele up.

It's fine to tax a little if you're pushing to the enemy tower. Also if your laner is trash.

the people cry about taxing are the same ones who bitch about KSing. There isnt a set "tax" and moreso around whether the lane needs to be shoved or not

I let them tax if they helped me with a successful gank and if they get the kill, no cs for them. Jungler deserves kills and is just as well of fed as any other role.

In my eyes it's pretty simple. If he comes when I ping for him, burns one of their summoner spells or causes them to recall, he gets some cs or a kill. All of those will lead you a healthier lane and a stronger jungler
