What is up with these 5 ADC comps

And every single one of them rushing Ghostblade and Duskblade. A 5 ADC comp is not a balanced comp and should not perform better than the norm (not trying to bend to the meta but come on, 5 ADCs?)

Used to be that a Talon could handle 5 ADCs on his own, as long as they didn't have Ashe or a lucky Vayne .

Well, don't even try to argue that ADCs problem is solved, it seems like now they're op just because lethality is, the problem with adcs is the crit itemization, but at the least now we have some agency earlygame

Literally nothing changed. The only thing was colossus on tanks and jungle being overpowered and suddenly adcs are the worst class in the game absolutely useless blablabla. This game would be SO SO SO much better if riot would stop catering towards these fuckin adcs. But oh well after 2 adc overhauls we'll get a third soon until only adcs are played everywhere.

It's because her gratuitous bases and bonkers AP scalings (for a friggin pen ADC that is) allow her to bully pretty much everyone not named Zyra and Braum out of lane

Its a "skill" matchup.

MF still dies (as does her ADC) if she get rooted, so it isnt a sure counter. It requires both you and your support to not get hit Zyra's skillshots, which isnt always easy - if it were easy, Blitz would be the easiest to counter in the game. MF does outrange Zyra outside of her plant poke, and the plants alone wont win you lane unless you stand next to them ignoring them. However, due to Zyra being extra squishy + running no MR, MF's base damages hit pretty hard. MF definitely has the advantage in the poke war.

It also requires you to have some sort of setup ADC if you arent getting jungle help. You can run Ashe, Jhin, or Varus pretty well, and its an easy kill post 6 if you can lock Zyra down for even a second. You cant run a low-range ADC like Vayne or Lucian (Sivir is okay since she just pushes so well from range) with a MF support and hope to survive vs a decent Zyra. Also, the opposite is also true - if the enemy has an Ashe, Jhin, or Varus to engage at 6, youre pretty much dead as an MF support. Other ADCs work like any other poke lane - if you get enough poke down you win. If not, you lose.

The problem with running a high damage threat as a support is still there. You generally are left with a low engage, low peel teamcomp. Zyra only became a meta support since she has so much disengage in her kit.

It is a skill matchup, but it favors MF heavily, and is why she is regarded as a Zyra counter. The reason MF support is strong is purely because of how strong utility adcs, and zyra are

Just because you don't know how to deal with 5adc comps doesn't mean they do well. As a talon main I pray for 5adc comps because it's just a free buffet for me

It's not really 5 man ADC comps, it's just salty people calling it that.

Something like Jayce mid or top. Quinn mid or top Graves jungle Jhin or MissFortune ADC Then whatever's good for support.

Idea is to abuse lethality hard as hell and end the game before the other team even got started. Because a team with an average of 2-3 items won't beat a comp with the average of 3-4 items that oneshot any squishy target and any tank that doesn't have enough armor.

Oh an Riven is played top sometimes as well.

Lethality is what is up. Not enough offensive armor items to stop it. Only classes who can survive it are tanks, and junglers.

Edit: However one of the biggest changes I did was swap out flat armor runes for Armor/level. That and Tabi with Zhonya's is usually enough to not get blitzed.

Yet marksmen mains complain that their class is useless, despite the lack of any nerfs. Things like this are why I don't give the majority of them respect. But riot caters to them like they're the privileged minority.

This occurence is literally only because of the lethality changes and Edge of Night just being too damn good. As an ADC main, i wish they'd revert lethality so the boards will stop crying about how "OP" Jhin is now...

It's sarcasm, obviously he & ezreal can't entirely benefit from it since significant portions of their kits aren't physical damage.
