i finally found out how to beat Fiora!

Melledoneus··95 votes·5,852 views

Find a way to play as fountain turret. 1k true damage per second and virtually untargetable all the time. It has almost as much burst as Fiora and its untargetability counters her ult's nature.

Boom. Hire me, DotA.

Does Yorick, like... Actually counter her? I mean I know Pantheon counters her to hell and back, and Malphite kinda counters her, but Yorick...?

you know the old saying of the wise one: "Yorick walks into a bar, there is NO COUNTER"

If your looking for tips on how to play against Yorick, you don't get any tips on how to beat him, you get tips on how to make your life slightly less miserable. Lmao summoner 31

edit: For the people downvoting me, http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Yorick/Strategy Tell me it's not true.

If I somehow end up playing vs Fiora (I litterally always ban her) Yorick's the only thing my team's getting :P Getting past his disgusting poke ain't too easy as a melee, especially considering Fiora's all single target. summoner 31

very well said. Although fiora is by no means the only culprit.

Corki Ezreal Karma MasterYi Soraka

Anidan1 votes

3 of the champions listed are fine, people just don't like them (Corki, Ez, Karma). 1 is abusing current itemization (Yi) and the last goat-lady standing is usually considered really obnoxious to play against, but I'll reserve any comments about her. I know Riot doesn't like her, but that doesn't mean much to me.

It's not like Ezreal is the only person capable of abusing spellblade effects. He might be the best, but that's because that seems to be Riot's outright intention, so if they make a strong spellblade and don't account for the fact that Ezreal might be able to make very good use of it, that's on Riot at this point. Long-range spellblade shenanigans is basically his thing. Are people not allowed to have niches anymore? Because every time I see someone able to do their intended functionality well (not even too well, mind you) people start clamoring for nerfs and accusations of a toxic and/or broken kit.

QjTHqo3RTq1 votes

I think Ezreal has a very toxic kit as he's ruined so many spellblade items, and boned over other champions in the process,( rip iceborn on Hecarim ) and if a champion ruins like three items on the top of my head for the community, then I consider him a broken, toxic annoying champion.

As for Corki, I mean just look at him. Has Jax's thing where you can build like ONE item against him before you start having to build ga, banner, and zzort just because of how his damage works.

As for Karma, she works similar to Irelia in how, even when very behind, she provides so much for her team, and is still very much a threat, so you can only hope those deaths came from her own inability to play the game, not lucky crits or some other luck factor.

As for the reason Jax and Irelia aren't up there, they're all in melee bruisers, if they're behind, they cant just poke, either they spilt push and then get ganked or use team communication well enough to do spilt push. Corki, Ezreal and Karma can sit back and provide large damage with little amounts of items.

Also Yi has always abused items, that's what he does, he's less of a champion, and more of a tool shed.

Anidan1 votes

Isn't that Karma thing something people want from a utility-based champion? I mean, with her utility if she wasn't a threat of some sort, whether by her own damage or team support, nobody would ever pick her, and that's not a healthy place for her to be. If she's behind, she's not much of a damage threat because Mantra+Q can only do so much on a limited budget, which relegates her to supporting her team, primarily through Mantra+E and root tethers, meaning she has a fallback strategy in case things go south for her. So, honestly, I'd say Karma is fine.

Ezreal is a champion whose design is centered around Spellblade effects and the long-range application thereof. If they implement a spellblade and don't properly balance it with Ezreal in mind, that's their problem, not Ezreal's. Ezreal's design is honestly fine, but they keep pumping out spellblades with interesting effects and then the community is surprised when Ezreal can use them due to his long-range and flexible build paths than can probably fit the item. There are fixes for those spellblades that could make it less abusive for Ezreal, but RIOT clearly isn't doing them so they probably don't view it as overly problematic like the community does. Because let's be honest: the community overreacts like no other, so it's no surprise when the thoughts of RIOT don't align with the sensationalist thoughts of the Boards.

In addition, if Ezreal and Karma are behind, they're not doing large amounts of damage due to the way their kits work. They want to be at least even or ahead if they want their damage to be notable, especially if Ezreal is building Blue because the damage is less than if he went his standard route as a payoff for more utility. Just because they can chunk a squishy while behind is literally meaningless because they're squishy - everything chunks a squishy. But neither of them are going to make a bruiser or tank care about them if they're behind.

Ok firstly, there's no real way to change an item for one specif character, in a game of over hundred other ones using the same items, and not have it effect other characters, and due to the "unique" nature of Ezreal, he's just forced out some many items out of the game, due to the flexibility of his build path, the man only needs a sheen to start ripping through non shotgun totting adcs; builds so many number of items, he abuses the advantage of most items extremely well, leading to them having to be toned down or removed.

And Karma? I have footage from a Karma game I was playing that I'll link you, it'll do a lot better than I can with words

Anidan1 votes

I'm just gonna be honest: I don't see the problem with Ezreal. At all. "But he can abuse spellblades!" the thing he was outright designed to synergize with better than any champion in League? Okay, glad to see he's retained that after all these years. He hasn't forced out any items. In fact, the only items he's ever gotten toned down are all spellblade items, and the Spirit of the Elder Lizard, which was the biggest anomaly in his case. "the man only needs a sheen to start ripping through non-shotgun-toting adcs" not much different than most ADCs buying a BF Sword, honestly. By the time he buys Sheen, it'll add about 60-70 damage through his base attack damage for his Q, but an enemy will gain 40 bonus attack damage for every auto attack, and for ability scaling. The only advantage he has here is range, which obviously he's going to use to its fullest. The only real issue I see with Ezreal is his playrate, and part of that extends from his very high levels of flexibility. Not much you can do that beyond making him a lot more focused on a single role, but then you also kinda kill the identity the game has lent to him over the years. That's not very cool to Ezreal players, either.

And I have seen Karma games where she's behind. I am nowhere near close to seeing her as a problem.

Fun fact, in the old WC3 DotA you could reach a point with some carries that you could go kill the enemy fountain laser.

Catastrop5 votes

That's still possible. #Bristleback.

I just hug the wall when she ults me. Course I play Sion and max my W so I can spam my shield in case of emergency.

I don't know why she wants to duel me. I have no interest in dueling, so I won't play by her rules.

WukongMain4 votes

Whenever i play fiora, i think her kit is broken. whenever i fight fiora, i think her kit is incredibly weak. what the hell riot?

Melledoneus4 votes

Whenever I fight Fiora, I feel like I'm as useful as a cannon minion. Whenever I play Fiora, I win.
What the hell, mom? (I'm kidding mom, love ya)

WukongMain3 votes

i guess i just understand how to play vs her :')

Melledoneus5 votes

Yeah, I just play Braum top lane. You all-in her at level 1, she grows a moustache, and is rooted for 40 seconds trying to shave it off.

Officer Nip Nop1 votes

but she is french

There's a difference between Russian and French moustaches,

Now you know.

The French are really good at fighting actually.

Pretty sure Barn, the Sentient Barn counters her.

i think even if she gets a true nerf that make her legit im still banning this cnt everytime i have the possibility to ban, im tired of her sht

DeathBot6663 votes

So, your counter to fiora, is to play jax...

Zonkman2 votes

Nah just stay under fountain turret and you'll be fine

phiblet1 votes

So who would rather have a fiora over a yi with sated devourer/rageblade?

TroyTheUnconquer2 votes

Who am i playing as? As olaf i would rather have the Yi, as fiora i would rather the YI

can't really think when i'd rather fight a fioa tbh

Melledoneus1 votes

I'd rather lane against Baron Nashor than Fiora. At least Baron doesn't freeze waves and delete tanks.

phiblet2 votes

If she get's shut down, she doesn't really do all that well against tanks. Basically a Yasuo, but true damage instead of slightly ridiculous crits. And an ult you can QSS

TroyTheUnconquer1 votes

you can QSS yasuos ult to tho i think

I honestly would most likely like to play a fiora into another fiora, just for fun

phiblet1 votes

I haven't tried it. Also, draft pick. I haven't played blind pick in several months now :P

phiblet1 votes

If a Yi loses a fight to a fiora, he is doing something wrong...I would rather take a Nasus versus a Fiora over a Yi anyday.

TroyTheUnconquer1 votes

psh, if fiora loses a fight to yi, she's doing something wrong, you just Riposte a few seconds after he does his invis thingy on you and you negate a lot of his burst damage lol

Ok.

But for real, people seem to fail to realize Pantheon ruins Fiora's day.

W AA Q AA E will take 50% of her HP away while you walk out without much damage.
