I always thought the more hp you had the more effective armor and mr were. But i don't understand how to build tank or its bugged on chogath idk.
So was playing chogath with 3600hp 251 armor and 150ish mr. and an ez with 
hits me with a basic attack for 951 damage. Where the hell is that damage coming from? there was also a corki hittimg me for 1251 magic damage amd all he had for penatration was boots, no void staff ect...
BuffYasuoPls1 votesFirst off, the Ez could've Q'd and missed his Q which procs The passive of is that his autos do 8% of your current health. The passive of is that his autos do 6% of his max damage. Also, add his AD.

Some champions are that way. No amount of tanky items would have probably saved you in that scenario honestly. I linked a line graph for you that shows the perfect armor/mr per health (including per cho'gath R stacks). If you are meeting that criteria then at least you will know that you have done everything in your power to remain as tanky as you can be.
