First you nerf her early shield strength in 7.16 which was egregious Then you remove a ton of early cdr in early game from runes during reforged which was also terrible Then you shit on manaflowband which was also bad Then you remove cdr from idol while also nerfing shield power which was ridiculous

Now you nerf her shield duration all the way down to 2.5 seconds as if thats reasonable and it should be equal to the likes of lulu janna and karma whose shields are all instant cast while oris has significant travel time. Not to mention that 2.5 seconds is shorter than is reasonable in the first place. Her shield should be no shorter in duration than rakan especially considering his shield activates before he even reaches his target whereas oris shield doesnt activate until after the ball reaches its target.

the point is to add more counterplay by not having a 100% uptime shield while adding skill expression for perfectly timing the shield.

besides, of all 4, oriannas is the strongest.

To be fair, Ori has strengths that Janna and Lulu do not have, and Janna and Lulu have strengths that she doesn't have. It's not unreasonable to reduce her shielding power too, since it's shields that are a problem anyways right now.

There is already a potentially good argument for why Ori shouldn't have received a shield nerf. You don't need to make arguments by comparing characters, it's too easy to mess up and ruin your chance to persuade anybody.

OP: Ori's shield has a delay and is not simply point and click. It doesn't deserve the same nerf as spammable sheilds.

Literally You: TO BE FAIR Ori has strengths other supports don't have, and other supports have strengths she doesn't have. Now that typed something that has nothing that resembles a point or context, I'll tell you that Ori actually should be nerfed while not addressing anything at all that you typed in your OP.

OP: Frantic list of reasons Ori is in bad shape, followed by frantic complaint saying Ori is being nerfed along with enchanter supports.

Me: She has more damage than enchanters, it's normal for her shields to be made weaker than theirs.

You: I hate that you remind me of people who piss me off, so I'm going to take out my problems with them on you.

I might have made a mistake, but I'm certainly not about to consider that while you're on the attack. So shoo, I can reflect on my own comments without your help.

The OP isn't saying Ori's shield should be stronger. Op is saying that Ori's shield is not instant or requires setup. That's the entire point about the shield. Her shield is already weaker and has drawbacks.

Douche: To be fair, Soraka's health regen is actually less than Caitlyn's.

Why, because they point out Riot's disgusting double standards whenever somebody gets up in arms about a nerf?

I see it as thus: "We'll nerf shielding, finally (oh my god all you guys ever do is complain about shield spam), but you better be fucking certain we'll nerf champions that have shield abilities that aren't currently problematic, while at the same time putting the lightest nerf burden on the most problematic of them all (janna)".

Janna's shield only has to fade out after 5 seconds while all the other champs get 2.5 second hard nerfs? That's bullshit.

Ah okay then I see what you mean. I haven't been too involved with reading about the changes as of yet. I was simply reacting to somebody talking about a mage as if that mage compares to enchanters. That said I do realize that Riot is treating Ori similar to enchanters with this, when she isn't.

I see that it's complicated and I respect that. But I wasn't about to waste my time trying to have a rational discussion with Bloodleaf here who was clearly not interested in a discussion in the first place.
