ATM it's not just a tank meta, it's a tank meta in which the tanks are stronger in lane than almost all other toplaners.

On top of that the top meta is a poke meta because the poke runes aery and scorch are just so consistently powerful in lane compared to other runes.

Until aery + scorch get some nerfs and tanks get early game nerfs, toplane will be a cancer "Which tank can poke more" shitfest, with the occasional Jayce because that champion is so good in lane that he transcends metas.

It's blindingly clear that poke and tanks are just way too strong compared to the other playstyles and roles, especially in toplane.

The definition of marksmen is a ranged ad building champion, so by definition yasuo and trynd can't be marksmen even if you tried to use that sarcastically to make me calling Teemo and Shyvana tanks/offtanks seem stupid. The thing is, the tank role is pretty much defined as having engage and being hard to kill.

Shyvana definitely suits that atm and I can concede that Teemo is a ranged bruiser rather than a tank.

No matter how much tankiness Teemo or Shyv build, they are not tanks. If anything they are bruisers.

Tanks aid their team by engage and peel, Teemo and Shyv have no more peel or engage than a Darius.

No matter how much tankiness he builds he is not a tank. If anything, Teemo that builds mostly defences is a 'tanky dps', that is a fighter.

teemo is no take he just has strong poke other then that you are right. The problem is that tanks out dmg you along with having strong inherent tankiness to sustain ur dmg. In this current patch you can't trade with mao, at all like he will take no dmg from the trade and after it he goes all out on you and heals back from the passive. Ornn justs shields all ur dmg while ccing you. J4 just out dmg's you and pokes you down too. It mostly is the lack of defense I would say, but if a darius can't even stand against a mao then something is really wrong.

Jarvan and Shyv are fighters. Teemo, even if he builds tank stats is not a tank, he is a tanky dps and that equals a fighter.

On top of that, your list of overbearing fighters clearly is missing yorick, warwick, jax and udyr

you missed out yorick who is the highest win rate champ currently who happens to be a bruiser.

j4/shyv/teemo and arguably shen are not tanks, they are fighter/bruisers. Singed and udyr are also riding high for bruisers

outsided of the ones we mentioned wu/panth/garen are likely doing well solely because of lethality builds. jax/irelia/nasus/vi are doing fine.

your mage list seems to omit xerath and anivia why?

for assasins, they seem to have been replaced with lethality building bruisers who do not have this "counterplay" which was forced onto the rest.

Yorick is definitely going to be receiving nerfs so I'm not concerned with Yorick.

I would say that j4 goes glass cannon still, Shyvana defo builds more defensively than she used to and does the same if not more dmg thanks to how easily she procs PTA, and Teemo shouldn't really be an AD bruiser but the runes mean he is.

Singed and Udyr are pretty decent atm I don't mind that, since they both have clearly defined counterplay which is CC, and against singed grievous wounds.

Irelia I would say is slightly OP but it doesn't show because the toplane meta is even more op and represses her, but against what would usually have been skill matchups she is doing very well.

I omit Xerath and Anivia because I feel like they're pretty good atm but they too have enough counterplay since they're immobile, that I can tolerate it and would rather focus on the more broken champions.

Assassins have been gone for a long time now, 6.22 basically ruined the class.

botrk is overpriced atm, majority of junglers are melee and get destroyed by an adc before they get to a tank with bloodrazer, liandrys is a nice item against mundo, I guess? Last whisper items are garbage atm compared to what the old LW was. Redemption? BC is still a good item sure, but just getting it wont melt a tank, at all. Wits end is pretty much only built for onhit builds, which is just Varus and Kogmaw.
